Yep, it's a real watch.
Funny the Rolex is the only watch I have never been asked about.

I've only been asked once and it was by a jewelry repair business owner for whom I string pearls and whom I've known for several years. I just laughed and said "I don't wear fake anything."
Only three other people have ever even noticed my watch. One said, "Nice watch. Is it a Seiko?" The other two said, "Nice Rolex. Don't see too many midsizes." Jeannie |

If they persist, ("well, fake rolexes are everywhere...") then I might say, "I guess I'll just have to leave you to wonder." However, I've never been asked.... about either thing! |

Just answer "yes it's a fake white gold. It's stainless steel."

Have a lot of people really been asked this question? It would seem rude to me if someone asked.

They say opposites attract, and you'd be amazed at how many times a real Rolex attracts fake boobs!

Unless your boobs are angled like Marty Feldman's eyes that question should not be asked! And if they ARE angled like that, then one should not even think it!

My response would be...
"Do I know you?" or "Do you know me?" either would answer the question I think

I was out with a colleague the other night and someone asked if his sub was real. He just casually replied: "Why don't you try take it from me and find out..." He's 6'7" and still has his sub. |

My answer I think would have been "do you think Iīm a fake?" But I think I switch to: "Itīs a GMT II" Brilliant. And: Thanks! ;-) Hermann P.S.: if I am asked "what watch is this", my Answer is: "itīs a simple Stainless Swiss automatic watch." The "automatic" is important. If you say "mechanical" "They" might think again, but "automatic" - that doesnīt ring a bell ... ( I assume, they think if you donīt have to wind the piece, itīs an "automatic" - and donīt differentiate that to "Quartz". ) |

21 year old wearing a SS Daytona, yeah I get that from time to time. It all depends on who Im talking to. Ive actually been asked by an AD if it was real, and my answer is "yeah I paid cash for it, would you like to see?" after he realizes what he's done Ill hand back his piece and walk out. If Im on campus, "ah I really dont know much about watches, my dad got it for me in China." If Im out of town in a place I dont know all so well, people see the pistol on my belt before my watch, so its never to much of an issue
