The new Kermit is interesting and my guess is that it'll be in high demand.

As for the rest, well, unless Rolex actually develop a new movement like the Sky Dweller and YM2 which is difficult to do on a regular basis, it's hard to expect anything more than cosmetic changes.

I think they’re fine.

Safe where it matters. Bold where they can risk it. They clearly learned proportions matter and too much green can actually be too much green - even for Rolex.

As for the new brighter OP colors, I’m pleased about those and I do believe this is why Rolex went after that California customizer.

The bright colors and themes of their custom Rolexeses were probably something Rolex didn’t want confusing people with.

Voted option 2. Like I said on another thread, I like what they did this year but I love the ones I own and they're not going anywhere. I'll wait for real life pictures, incoming threads, opinions on movement noise etc and then I'll decide if I'll add a new ND or not.

The new Kermit in 41 actually makes me want a sub......which I never have.

And all of the colors for the op are risky for Rolex which I like but some do come off slightly cheap....

I like the new Sub case dimensions and I really like that they have made the OP a “fun” entry level watch with some flair! Everything doesn’t have to be the same stodgy traditional style across all the lines. For the most part, you had to get a Day-Date or a gold Daytona to get a daring fun dial.

The slimmer lugs on the subs look way better IMHO but overall a giant yawn from me.

I’m disappointed I didn’t get the all blue SS Sub I wanted but the reference will be a big hit. I would love to see the new LV before commiting to one, will ask my SA tomorrow if I have to decide now if I want one soon or if I can wait to see it at their trunk show in two weeks.
I’m also intrigued to see the wildly colored OP41’s, I should be able to get one of those easily.

I like what Rolex did with the sub. They listened when the returned the slimmer lugs and increased the size. I would buy it

Bigger isn't always better, 41mm OP? I personally thought 39mm was on the large side and I'm used to wearing Daytona's and Sub's. What happened to being refined and understated?

I mean, can't they only cosmetically change them at this point, and forever onward? Aside from the tech improvements that's pretty much what happens when you update a watch.

Looks like Ceramic bezel font is never going to change

Interesting how the dial on the new model looks smaller, are these watches lying side by side or photoshopped?

Green bezel Sub=‘s “been there done that”. It’s just a new McRib we already had before.
99.8% of the world won’t know any difference with either current or new black Sub. It’s a black Sub. The 32 series movement is the real upgrade.

41mm won’t be as comfortable as the 40mm Sub. 40mm is really what Rolex know and does best. I thought how much different can a SD43 feel on the wrist compared to a 40mm Sub. It was the only Rolex model I couldn’t wear.
Totally agree, SD43 I dreamed of from the day it came out but it was uncomfortable, so much so I only kept it 12 months.

It's interesting, I've heard a lot say this about the SD43. At least a handful on these forums. The DSSD is really comfortable, given its size. I can't imagine the SD43 being more clunky than my sea monster but never tried one on.

A new version of something that you cannot buy, it would be funny if it was not so sad.

Overall, I agree with you PADI, although there are some exceptions, like the SkyDweller about eight years ago, and maybe the YM II, but you are right, Rolex needs to be a lot more innovative.

Lets face it, this is pretty much "not inspired" and you will only be able to buy it grey at a premium. Snake oil! This brand has lost its way.

I like that Rolex has improved the overall form of the watch case with the bracelet in regards to the Submariner models. I always felt that the the maxi cases were somewhat disproportionately large in relation to their bracelets so the slimming of the lugs and the widening of the bracelet should provide improved comfort if not visually. Additionally, the new time only 3230 movement cased with the 124060 has the greatly welcomed feature of having a lengthy 70 hours of maximum power reserve capacity.

Other than those very fine details, it's been a pedestrian release for ther other references. Now I'm looking to what Tudor will release in its traditional October/November model announcement cycle.

Rolex has discovered the maximum profit driver for the least effort/cost. Brilliant on their part.
