and like you, a couple other folks have touched on this.

the meteorite dials are interstellar - galactic - out of this world. unless you believe the tinfoil guys on the donk that claim rolex is manufacturing meteorite at their foundry. which i don’t.

but what drew me in to both watches was the synthesis of interstellar material with precious terrestrial materials. and in the case of the DD, with diamonds potentially as old as the meteorite. earth as a part of its place in the universe, writ small upon my wrist in a way no one will ever know.

MAN i love watches.

the GMT dial is almost prismatic. it’s MUCH more vivid, MUCH more contrasty. it still flats out in overcast lighting like the pan-am, but it GLOWS more than the DD. it’s less subtle.
