+1

Jay, you have too much money, you must try to distribute the wealth by spending more and more.

Black for me
I swapped my champagne dial out for a green one recently
Two reasons, it's hard to tell the time on the champagne dial and secondly it looks too monotone and old fashioned to me

Don't you lose a few thousand this way, with the dial change and service?

Would it not be better to just buy the black/baguettes version and live with both for a bit, sell the one you like less?

Whichever one you keep would be 'factory' spec. I know its probably RSC doing the work but just saying that original spec would be a plus to me (maybe not to others of course).

I'd probably go champagne dial, +/- baguettes. Goes with anything.

I'm aware four months down the line my opinion probably means diddly :)

Ahh not happy this got revived haha..

Well the story is the AD had mistakenly quoted the price to me, when I saw the Rolex service paper estimate I panicked and thought “wtf is going on here is my watch ruined?”

The price of the dial was quoted to me wrong by a very large amount of money and I declined the dial swap and had the watch returned. Just human error! No drama. So yeah watch was returned as is!

Strangely the last couple days I’ve been thinking about going ahead with it though.

I think that is right that Rolex keeps the original dial then charges you for the new one.

I'm not sure which will get you more attention. The champaign is probably more eye catching, but I think the black makes for a better looking watch, which will ultimately get you more positive attention. I'd go for the swap.

For the money though, you might want to look into simply trading for the watch you want.

It’s funny how these thoughts creep back in!

Champagne.

Black makes it less wearable to match with all colour outfits. . The monochromatic look of champagne is nicer
