There is a Hermes zermatt leather inner lining that they use for apple watches. That is super comfortable and very good against sweat

I have a couple of Artem sailcloth with rubber backing. Very comfortable and yes you can swim in them.

reretrofitting PP 7234G to 18x18mm strap & buckle

Reopening thread should anyone still be interested in further updates?

I've loved the PILOT from its release. I recently tried the 7234G & it's a perfect fit for my 175mm wrist. Wears & looks like a 39.5 case because of the large pushers @ 8 & 10 + large crown & it's 42.5mm tall lug pin to pin.

Best news for me, I was able to trade watches for watch with zero $ outlay.

However, the strap tapers small & the 14mm buckle doesn't cut it for me.

OK, no problem.

YES, I did source & purchase the 18mm Patek Clevis pin buckle made for the 5234G. And yes, I am having two 18x18mm straps made for me. One in teal blue 4mm thick cordovan leather (ordered from V-Green) + another in Horween Steel Blue Latigo (from my friend, Drew Watson - EUROPELLI Straps owner). Each cut to measure my wrist precisely & each capable of readily accommodating the 2.5 mm wide rectangular pin on the 18mm Clevis pin.

I know they're going to fit & look great because I've previously worn an 18x18 strap with an 18mm buckle. While I wait for their arrival I temporarily retrofit a tan Ostrich JLC strap (19x16mm) & butterfly deployant I borrowed from my JLC.

To each his own, I simply say: For me, It's a very substantial strap & look for a terrific watch I thought I'd never own.
