I’ve taken a little circuitous tour through a few different modern Rolex divers. Started with the Subs, 114060, then a 116610, then I moved on to the SD43 126600. All of them fantastic and awesome and great in their own ways. But I kept coming back to pictures and videos about the SD4K 116600. Perhaps my time with the other divers really prepared me for this special watch. I’ve really zeroed in on wanting to stick with 40mm, love the ceramic bezel and felt comfortable with the 15mm thickness. Love the gorgeous lines and overall symmetry of the watch in part because it is sans cyclops. Very comfortable on the wrist and not as heavy as my 116508. The caseback sits perfectly in a little grove just above my 6.75”-ish wrist. It’s really difficult to describe how instantly connected to the watch I felt as soon as I opened the box for the first time.

Needless to say, I’m very excited to be the newest caretaker of this beautiful watch!
Many congrats.

The SD4K is my biggest regret for not buying when I randomly dropped by my AD a few years ago and they had one in stock. At the time I was wearing a lot of 44mm+ Breitlings and Panerai's, and it just felt too small on the wrist, so I passed on it. Fast forward several years and I now rarely wear anything over 40mm.

Once my SD43 is back from repairs, I will be moving it on and looking for an SD4K myself, so hopefully I will finally join the club!

OP, congrats again!

I just added one today, too. I sold mine about 1 1/2 years ago; it is one I bought new from an AD upon release. And it’s probably the only Rolex watch I regretted selling.

Nothing like righting a wrong!

Best modern Rolex diver, back on the wrist.

@nyc2la Congrats on writing the wrong and picking up another one! Mine literally has not left my wrist once since I got it on Tuesday. I can't say enough good things about it. Hope others make the jump as well because the 116600 is a special watch for sure.

Congrats! I like appreciating subtitle difference that just sail over most people’s heads. If your wrist can pull it off I highly recommend it.
