Yes. On paper the technology is supposed to be better on the new one of course but in reality the old venerable 3135 is a super accurate and reliable movement legendary industry wide for it’s reliability, durability and easy to work on and replace parts. The same cannot be said of the 3235 which makes parts replacement more dependent on the Rolex mothership and some parts aren’t replaceable alone, you have to replace a whole component. Plus visit the 3235 problem thread here, while most haven’t had issues, many have. Is it a rampant problem, probably not as we’re a small sampling of the general public, however, you’ll be hard pressed to find such an issues thread for the 3135.

Love this story (real or fake)… and I’m on Team AD 100%!!! I tip my hat to Laing’s.

If you don’t support common sense measures to deter and prevent flipping, feel free to give your business to a trusted secondary reseller and pay market price.

You want way below market price from an AD? Then, play ball!

Every new movement has its faults, be in no doubt that the excellent 31xx series has had its share of issues over its years of service, but these have been resolved and the movement is the venerable one loved by many today.

The 32xx series is new and going through these initial stages, bit by bit Rolex will identify and work out solutions to the issues that occur and the movement will become as respected as the outgoing 31xx series.

The majority of people owning a new Rolex with the 32xx movement won’t have a problem, the watch will run just fine, those that do will go back to their AD and the watch will be sent to Rolex who will sort the issue.

A few people who have an issue with the 32xx movement will report it on TRF for discussion amongst forum members.

Please let me know how you measured the amplitude and rate continually during the PR run

This can make all the difference knowing the full detailed results taken continually during the test.

Something like that. They had to furiously back pedal both on their policy of warranty card retention and their false claims that it was a Rolex policy. It made them look like a bunch of unprincipled con artists, but I expect they'll get over it.

I collected rate data points every 2 to 3 hours during 70 hours for each of the 5 positions. Please check out my posts #318, 421 and 423. The first graph in post #421 shows a significant drop in deviation between 40 hours and 70 hours, from - 21s to -39s in 9up position (negatively affecting average rate obviously, as seen in the second graph). This is further confirmed by the third graph showing marginal rates between data points.

Feel free to discuss this in the other thread if you wish, I don't want to further hijack OP's thread . As I said earlier, this drop in accuracy in the last 24h doesn't really affect me. A real problem however would be a rate of -10s/d or worse, in spite of wearing the watch continuously. My psychological barrier hovers around +10 - 6s/d for a watch of this price.

I am thankful that I have a good AD and I am more thankful that I have my watches and don’t have to jump through these type of hoops anymore.
It’s not about being legal. It’s your agreement with them.
Break it if you wish, they won’t take you to court, but just will never sell to you again.

They can’t stop you flipping a watch but can blacklisted you.

Simple

I just wanted to say a quick thanks for everyone's inputs... I wouldn't haven known my 116613LN had the 3135 movement..... Also I have nothing against the ad and there terms and conditions when buying a new watch... I'd happily buy the from them in future as I love watches and have no intentions on selling them for profit

I have a 2020 116613ln.... I've been looking at the bluesy so much that my phone auto corrected the model number by mistake didn't mean to cause so much confusion... Also every time I try to upload an image the forum seems to reject it due to file size or maybe I'm doing something wrong

Who is the AD? You have said nothing negative about them, so you can name them. I think anyone in the UK and possibly some international buyers would appreciate knowing who they are. We learn from our collective experiences.

It wouldn't hurt to seek a bit of advice on this. If the watch fails under warranty (it happens) or if you send it to the RSC, are you 100% confident that Rolex will repair/service it? Do you have anything in writing which says this 11 Series Sub has a 32 movement and was sold new?

The watch has a 3135 movement there was nothing in writing to suggest that the watch had the 3235 movement....the watch is preowned. The person at the ad was under the impression that it had the new movement because it was a 2020 sub which was the same year that the new sub models had the new movement fitted it was just an honest mistake no big deal I don't really care... still has 4 years of rolex warranty left not bad aye

Still better than the ADs that just offload the shipment to the grays

So warranty was activated before you bought it?

I don't know how other members will think of this but I don't understand why some ADs would activate the warranties under other person's name and put it on the case.

Is this just because Rolex HQ sends more SS, desirable piece when you sell more watches?

I guess the “first refusal” term OP referenced would be okay if you plan to keep it and/or they’d buy it back at MSRP.
