Top of the Rolex price chain would be the Rainbow Daytona.. Most Iconic sports watch is the Sub hands down, technical achievement the DSSD, dressy sports watch the DJ, classy PM would be the President, another icon obviously the red/blue GMT. Depends if King to you means the most expensive Rolex you can get. In the end the guts of them are mostly the same you pay for the trim.

I really want to say DD40 YG, but the empirical evidence (pre-owned price) says it’s the Platona by a long chalk.

Green, pink, yellow, Tiffany or coral oyster perpetual 36mm. So much Rolex with attitude for so little. These are the little gems in the line up.

What, no love for the King Midas?

My vote goes to the YG DD (fluted bezel, of course). People who aren’t into watches and wouldn’t know what a Submariner or a Daytona look like would recognize the Rolex President.

Absolutely!

Many great choices, but this is the king. Not to mention, at MSRP, it's really affordable.

Mr. King, of course. His friends call him Air.
