Interesting. I had forgotten about this one and was only thinking of the other one. Hmmm.

On the basis of your enthusiasm, can I safely presume it's the real McCoy and I can advertise it as such?

After I have contacted the seller and explained that I am doubtful it is an original insert he was adamant it was and he had one other watch for sale with the Fuchsia insert he said he will send me that and I must send him the old insert, so I am also going to post pictures of the new insert he has sent!

I must say he said the new insert was better condition and valued at at least 2000 more and was not happy I was questioning him. He has no more Fuchsia inserts, but he does have lots and lots listed for sale for other vintage items.

Im hoping that they are both original and will send him one back!

So this back looks ok?

no. The OP's inserts appear to be the fake ones that 1675-David has raised.

The images provided of the back of the insert were with the bezel (I wonder why :))... It was red in color but Im willing to bet it does not look like trog's insert. If you want to know what genuine red back's are like, you can see Trog's. FYI: Back colors of fuchsia, copper, salmon are considered Red back inserts)

This dude is trying to sell a watch made in 1967 from a store that was closed in 1966 lol.

I guess its possible if it was made very early in 1967 but seems sketchy, wouldn't trust that insert at all. Especially with the link to those aftermarket inserts from IG.
I'm shocked, shocked that fake inserts/parts and watches are being sold from somewhere in Italy on ebay.

It's funny how many collectors are always looking for a "deal" and when doing so, they always seem end up with a deal they didn't bargain for and the mess ends up being debated here by all the "experts."

What say you Norm? You've been fairly quiet here lately.

Real or memorex?

Question I have - the Op’s insert is a fat font (mega almost), but most fuchsias I see are pretty thin, barely fat font, never MEGA. Is there a standard thickness we should look for on fuchsias?

If you look at the fuchsia insert I posted, that is the standard thickness for them based on my experience. They are a fat font like most inserts from that era during the later 1960s.
