I popped into my most local AD where I previously purchased a Sub back in 2018/2019. I had a lovely chat with one of the staff members, I explained that I was looking for a 226570 and that I’m a previous customer.

They had a Explorer II which I could try on, great, as I’ve never actually tried one on my wrist, so it would be great to confirm it’s what I’m expecting and what I want to be addd to the list for.

Trying it on, I could tell it was the right choice, slim and understated. So I confirm I’d like to be added to the list, The Sales Adviser goes away to speak to her manager.

Comes back and offers me the watch I want, today! Really surprised me and the whole experience is like what buying a watch should be. Really attentive staff, I was in there for almost two hours and was made to feel very special.

I’m so glad I resisted the urge to go grey. Thrilled!

Go grey - by the time you get offered one from your AD there will have been several price increases & you will be paying close to £8500-£9,000 from your AD anyway

This exact thing happened to me with a JC DBlue

Waited 3&1/2 years got one eventually from my AD but in that time it went up to close what I would have paid grey market 3&1/2 years previously

I think in no time these should be trading near retail price So OP should be patient little longer

Neither are subs or SD43 worth their respective prices…..except they are as that what the market demands.
