Congrats! Looks great on you!

Did your AD ask for full payment before the three-week display or only upon collection?

I'm only asking this because my AD requires a full payment plus a three-week in-store display before I can collect my watch. Says it's a new AD rule. But that just doesn't make sense to me especially the full payment before the three-week display part...

Correct, full payment and can collect in three weeks time .

It makes sense ,for other clients .
It gives them the opportunity to see references in the metal .
I myself have benefited in this way, have seen some really nice references.

I really dont mind this new policy and understand why they introduced it.

I guess we are on the same boat now. My AD also required upfront full payment and then a three-week display before collection.

It did bother me until seeing all the posts I got that makes much more sense of it. Thank you.

I also wouldn’t mind, but frankly speaking it is the customers that I kinda worry about (if they don’t handle it with care) But hey, it’s a Rolex, it’s not fragile. That’s why I want it the first place right? :)

They kept all the stickers on until I collected .
Also, they sift the clients, they don't let everybody handle it .
Otherwise, they will annoy the buyer if there is any slight mark on the watch .
They don't want that .
That's how I see it .

Thanks for sharing! That’s also what they explained to me. Hopefully I’ll get the watch soon!

Two weeks living with the crown next door to Alice ....some thoughts:

Hasn't left the wrist .
Got an extra link from the AD for the jubilee.( Found it a bit tight,in warm weather even with the extension link out.Large wrists. With the extra link the extension link is now closed.Extra link ads more length vs extension link out).
Crown not digging into the wrist when worn on the left hand.
"Opposite" design from conventional ,is not an issue .Got used to it very quickly.
As a die hard fan of Oysters ,I have to admit the Jubilee wears well and suits the VTNR very well .It really pops on the wrist.

For me ,this is a winner in the collection . Love it !!

For those thinking about it,don't think twice .
At least try and see it in the metal first ,its one of those Rolexes that pics don't do justice .(Advantage of the display models, increases the chance of seeing it.)
Good luck !!

Wtf was Alice anyway?..so I'll call this watch ,"Alice"

Three weeks - wow! I'm still 1.5 years into my wait for this piece, and am not too optimistic about receiving one. Keeping my fingers crossed, though. And given that I'm a lefty, I s/b able to make the adjustment to date/crown on the left :)

Congrats on yours!

Thats because you are wearing it on the wrong wrist...... if it were on the correct wrist (right for a lefty), the date would be in the correct place for a left handed person.

So,all the left handed people must stop wearing Rolex (ALL Rolex watches except for the VTNR.) on their right wrists because the crown and date are wrong for left handed people ??

Looks great with the Jubilee.

Still have no idea why Rolex built this ( and I'm left handed)

...no idea why they discontinued the OP41 Turquoise dial .Rolex throws some curve balls now and then.

Yes,think the Jubillee is the best option for the VTNR,but I sure wouldn't say no if I was offered one on an oyster !

It is not wrong to wear it on the left, it looks so cool!

No, but it is weird people like yourself would want this. And the fact you are being critical of the design of the watch in where the date wheel/cyclops is but as mentioned, it wasn't designed to be worn on your left wrist. So the "problem" you have is self inflicted.

I really like the colors, but I can't handle the reversal of the crown and cyclops. And in over 50 years of wearing watches, I can't recall an instance where the crown presented any discomfort.

But hey, you've got a really unique piece (which can't be said about almost any Rolex), hope you enjoy it.
