Does anyone know which Berry’s stores are going? Big blow for a private family business.

It’s not. The remaining ones will receive more stock and will take up less retail space. It’s actually a win for them

I hope this is the case rather than WoS group cleaning up even more.

With WOS manchester going I think :

David m Robinson might go
Boodles (Chester and/or Liverpool - they have a Boodles in Manchester which is now the main supply in the region if the others go)

Wouldn't be surprised if Rudells in Wolverhampton went.
Maybe Pragnell in Leicester leaving just Stratford Upon Avon which is a v.nice store, good location with a lot of history with the Sterns.
All 3 Pragnells staying (you forgot the London store). As you said big history with Patek - they were the first Patek AD in the UK.

Berrys I read will be opening a store like York in Leeds, independently for fine jewellery and Patek

I doubt Patek will double the allocation to the 3 remaining stores to account for half of Berry's stores losing their AD status. Some more allocation yes but not double.

All Patek ADs in the UK should end up getting a better allocation simply by virtue of there being less dealers in the UK. Its certainly not a win for Berry's and I doubt internally they are seeing it like that.

Im still praying its not true.

Bangkok AD's are ridiculous - even though I am a resident as a "non-Thai" it is impossible for me to buy.

Certainly is. That is why they are expanding the salon in London. They will end up getting a much bigger allocation going forward.

That leaves us with 34. I think we were on 41 not too long ago.

I thought WOS lost their AD in Manchester which is about to become the first AP boutique outside of London?

WOS MC is currently listed within the 34 AD's.

It seems more geographically spread now, with the obvious over saturation around the North West. Considering Prestons diamonds has purchased the building next door and is expanding with a Patek "boutique" to supply all the footballers, its strange to see David M Robinson still there who are tiny with 1 private screening room by comparison.

Very surprised Hamilton & Inches lost the AD status, they had over 50 year partnership with Patek

WOS MC and several others would be removed from the website in the next few weeks/months.

DMR has a VIP room for footballers

I was told by them when the news broke that their AD status would end February 24.

There are ADs who have been told they are losing their Patek license but are still on the list. We are not going to have 34 in the UK once the cull is over.

The UK price increase is coming in February, so I thought perhaps the Patek website would be updated on the day of the price rise. However as stated above, 1 AD has been removed from the website in the last day or so already.

Do you know how many will remain after the cull? Or which one is going or gone?

I don't know the exact number (anyone who claims to is lying if they don't work for Rhone Products or Patek). Can't say the name of the one that is definitely going as I know them! I think it's common knowledge that Watches of Switzerland group will be down to one UK retailer once the cull is over (good riddance). I guess we'll end up with 25-28 but this is conjecture.

That leaves Scotland pretty bare.

Are you saying there is another one going in the UK that hasn’t already been mentioned in this thread?

The Windsor Store have removed all PP watches & their window display since the start of this year.

However they still have an area in store… for the time being , but I imagine this takes longer to remove.

Not sure if this shows anything but a good friend bought a white gold perpetual Nautilus as his FIRST watch from there a couple of weeks ago….
