I’m happy with my Roman’s. Would prob buy it either way from AD. But can’t say I’ve looked down and wished this had diamonds.

Congrats!!!

Thank you. I considered the diamonds, the cross hatch, and the this one (I had eyes on a meteorite GMT so a second meteorite dial was off the table). In the end, I kept coming back to the quadrant dial with the blued Romans so I knew it was the one. The way the light plays off the dial differently from every angle is truly something to see.

Exactly. Never wished I had them and the quadrant dial is, imho, a significant improvement over the sunburst dial.

Super sharp!! I held yours in my hand and it was a 50/50 for me, I was going back and forth many times, over many days, both are winners, just something special about a platty, enjoy your stellar watch!!

I'll won't buy a watch with Romans until they get the "IV" right! IIII sends me over the edge. Balancing the VIII is an admirable goal, but IIII is just wrong!

IV doesn't fit the deconstructed romans aesthetic. either way, it's not like they're the only ones doing it. IIII is pretty much a standard in watchmaking

I requested a 228236 with Romans from my AD. When he called me saying he had a baguette diamond dial 228236, I couldn’t turn it down. I’m so glad I went with baguettes. It makes your platinum DD really “icy” looking.

In my opinion, You can’t go wrong with Romans or baguettes. All depends on your personality. But in all honesty, these platinum DD are hard to come by and you have to take whatever your AD offers you. You risk never getting one at all if you turn one down.

Started with Rosegold DD40 with bags, then Plat with Roman’s. Two very contrasting watches.

Seriously….. I do personally enjoy wearing the Platinum watches on different days and different occasions.

Of note: three more Platinum Rolex’s are on order

The weight and brightness of platinum is truly intoxicating imho. It relegated my SS and TT pieces to only adventurous activities and even put a dent in the wrist time of my gold variants. Impatiently waiting on my 116506. How does the weight of the 116506 compare to the 228206?

LOL I agree completely! It totally bugs me that they have IIII in lieu of the IV. It's just wrong!

I say go for the Romans, even though I don't like the IIII. I love the way the Romans look.

The DD36 looks so much more proportional compared to the DD40. In platinum, I think I would go 36 if I ever make that move

With a DD I wouldn’t care if it had a pink stone diamond dial dial and/or an RBR bezel. I would wear it with pride anyway. It’s a DayDate
So yes, I would love to have the baguette dial.

Same here !
Have a roman dial but I love the baguettes dial and the baguette bezel (TBR) but it is another price point

Vote for the baguettes dial !!!!!!
