Left. Never quite understood the fervor for that particular PN dial. Never appealed to me. Now if it were the gold dial with black sundials and hour markers then that would really be tough for me. Would likely have to have both!

Definitely, Silver Dial, Black subdials. YG is for old men who still wear gold chains, leave a couple buttons at the top of their shirt open and religiously watch Saturday Night Fever every weekend!

I prefer the WG model.

The red accents on the YG just make it look too busy for me.

Left. Not a fan of the contrast on the Newman.

I totally get what you’re saying but….
What makes the PN cool is the old school yellow gold is mixed with the black rubber, to give it an edgy modern feel. And the black dial not the gold dial of the picachu for example, add to the edgy sporty modern vibe.

YGPN. Not even close. (First choice would be a SS panda dial, but that wasn't the question.)

I would choose Rose Gold, but in this case of only those two, give me the yellow gold with that very beautiful dial. Any other dial, I would go WG

Hi a nice dilemma to have.
I find in general that a person’s character has a big influence on whether they prefer white over yellow gold, but this is more than that.
In this instance I find the Ghost beautifully understated especially in full white gold, as the flashy ceramic bezel is swapped out for white gold. The Pikachu on the other hand can not be described as understated and I actually couldn’t wear it.
However in this instance it’s not really WG vs YG, it’s reserved vs out there, black shoes vs red shoes or my favourite of Porsche vs Ferrari.
The Pikachu is very contrasts way too much for me.
I don’t think many would be torn between these two - they would be on one side or the other.
Why do you think you are torn?
Regards

I don’t think the YG Daytona in OP’s picture is the Pikachu or whatever name it has nowadays….

YG - not even close for me. Should have been a poll as comments are useless - just a matter of taste.

Generally speaking I’m not a fan of Yellow Gold. Contradictorily, I own a Daytona TT zenith. However, this was purchased in the mid 90s when yellow gold was at its fashionable peak.

Hence, white gold for me and I’ve been on the list for one for around 2 years.

Any Daytona with a rubber band is a no-go for me.

I really love how a thread like this brings out the “not a fan of Daytona” comments when no one asked! I love a yellow gold Daytona but unfortunately I treat mine like a shrine and more often wear my SS Daytona.

Yellow gold because the dial pops more.

Between those 2, I'd go with the WG because I don't like that dial on the YG.

Yellow gold. I just think it's a more interesting variant.
