Rolex Daytona on women. Is it acceptable?

My wife thinks anything under 36mm is “too small” for her taste. She would love the Daytona

Absolutely! There are many women that wear them.

My sentiments, exactly, regarding watch size.

Personally, I do not like big watches on women. Plus I don’t like Daytonas anyway.

I think it's a ridiculous question if you are serious.

Beyond that, of course she can wear it.

Of my Rolexes it's really only my 116503 Daytona that my wife wants when I am gone...

Depends on the lady and the look - I’ve seen a few attractive women pull off the large watch look including Daytonas so it can work.

It’s awesome when it’s done well.

Wise approach, I would say. I made some pictures, but still can’t post theme here. The watch looks stunning on my wife. She has two DJ already and I could hardly “loose” the watch. However, the risk exists! :)

Short answers is yes. I mainly work in Balkans and noticed first TT Daytona (116 reference) on a 60+ year businessman. The meeting was in summer on the sea cost in a restaurant. The look of my counterparty was very organic considering the whole background and atmosphere. Since then, I have seen many Daytonas with people with whole I’m dealing with. The top were Platona and white gold meteorite dial.

I think this is just my formal language not correctly interpreted by native speakers. The question was more about if this is a common or trendy nowadays. I looked through some pictures, but one story is Pinterest and completely another what real watch lovers and collectors on this forum think about it.

The answer I got from many people here, is a strong “Yes”.

I tried all TT except with diamond dials and find white dial one stunning. I have a reasonable collection of Rolexes and the only one which I do not wear is a rose gold GMT Master II which I emotionally bought in Schiphol. I like them as a masterpiece and looking under a magnifier, but still had no occasion to wear after owning for about half of the year. TT Daytona is completely another story. When buying, I considered it as a perfect holiday watch to wear with white shirt and blue jeans.

What do you think and do your wifes normally wears TT Daytonas. I have 116500 LN and think it would look good, if we wear them together during vacation or while going to the restaurant.
A couple of thoughts here. I don;t think it's a question of "accpetable" as almost anything goes these days. However, what really matters is her perspective on it. I suggest you do not force her (or try to talk her into it) to wear it etc. If she is comfortable wearing smaller - let her do that. Perhaps over time she will try it and she can go from there (or not). The last thing you want is her to be self conscious about it. Keep in mind, it is her journey.

I think it looks great. My wife only wears large watches incl an AP RO rose gold 15202, a malachite 36mm Day Date, a 36mm DJ,, a gold sub, a pro hunter Milgaus, a steel Daytona, etc. all look awesome on her.

That looks a lot better on your wife’s wrist than a lot of the Daytonas I’ve seen on men’s wrists in this forum.

IMO, it’s basically a unisex watch. So why not?!

The OP is from, Amsterdam. I suspect something was lost in translation and a better words would have been "persuaded" as in "go on, try it" as she may have been uninterested at first.

It's ok to wear any watch as long as it fits and looks right. My wife wears 28 and 31mm DJ too and would love to wear something from my collection but her wrist is just to small... When she tries on Daytona, the watch case is bigger than her wrist, so funny.

Here is her with 31mm and to me that is the perfect size for her, which she agrees too.
