I have considered a grey industrial look and a yellow gold case as options but felt they are not for me.

This is great! The series 5 is beautiful all around!

Congratulations!

Fwiw as much as I love the MR from Patek the idea that I can’t wash my hands or a dish while wearing creates a cause from concern. For me, every watch is to be worn and enjoyed as a daily, an MR would require me to fuss over it too much.

It feels like waiting to go to the podium after 2 hours of racing.

A confirmation came from the Isle of Man, and the wait begins

Yes what an apt description.

I remember the "shakes" I'd get in the adrenaline withdrawal - and weak knees.

Or just crossing in 2000th place at finish line after a Marathon - almost in tears.

Thanks Ed!
I got mine from an AD and the delivery schedule is not known until Sep last year. I placed my interest with the same AD in Oct 2023.

I don’t have the proper words to say how jealous I am of you. That’s a true grail and simply stunning. Major congrats. Just please, for all of us, wear that a lot.
