Don’t forget your hat. IFYKYK.
I forget it all the time.

I don't think Rolex would give Delta the time of day (no pun intended).

I'm not aware of Rolex doing any specialty watches anytime in the near past. It would be cool though.....

That wasn't mainline. That airplane and crew are not delta. They paint the aircraft and dress their people to look like delta, but they are not.

Would the watch be considered a collectors item?

You talk like a pilot. What's the story here?

But still a Delta-branded product.

Thankfully everyone got out alive and survived.

If you look on the 2nd Page - it does have an engraved case back.

I have a very good idea what happened, but it would be inappropriate for me to comment without all the facts. There are two videos I saw, one from a cockpit #1 for takeoff and another from a road near the final approach. Both indicate no flare to landing. Beyond that, I can't say. What I did see, is readily obvious from the two videos.

True, but the selection, training, and experience are a different tier by far.

The training is different?

It’s supposed to be one level of safety. I believe Bastian mentioned that. Passengers should feel confident that every Delta product rises to that standard.

Each airline has its own FAA approved training program. They are not all the same.

I'm not going out on a limb by saying the regional airlines are entry level. The career progression usually goes from some job to build enough hours to get hired by a regional airline and then work for an intermediate like frontier or spirit (etc), and then get hired by a major airline. The exception would be if you were like me, military, you usually go right into the majors.

In recent years, with a pilot shortage due to covid and retirements, some have gone right to spirt and the likes and hired at a very young age at the majors.

Point being is that experience at regional is much lower than that of a major airline.

Selection for sure. That math doesn't check out. You can't tell me they take only the best when classes look like they do.

Okey dokey.

Now let's all get back to talking about watches.

I'm thinking of getting the jubilee for my Tudor GMT.

Ah I love it, came here to read about a neat watch, and unexpectedly got to add another one to my ignore list.

I think i need to stop buying watches for a little while. Bought an oysterflex daytona and a pepsi gmt II all in one day. Going back for a steel daytona shortly.

I've heard guys like you have really special PAs.

But I concur, good pivot on your really poor taste post above.

Now let's see some more pics of the watches! Anyone have it on a 5-link??

You are thinking of that kook "hollywood". There's a couple youtube videos out there of him. And no, my PAs aren't like that. You shouldn't stereotype people like that.

There are lots of 5 link Tudor photos on the net.
