I prefer BLNR on oyster as-sold. BLRO on oyster vs jubilee is more or less a toss-up for me. Brushed cl would decrease my personal interest…

I wear mine as a tool watch--flying hundreds of hours a year. I would prefer a 41mm BLRO on Oyster bracelet and glidelock for my ultimate watch.
The jubilee bracelet is comfortable and does match my airline uniform but the "tool" aspect of a brushed Oyster bracelet would be my preference.

I think people will take it regardless if offered.

^^^You are exactly who I was thinking the GMT is suppose to cater to and give it a genuine tool application use and why a brushed oyster would look more purposeful.

^ I agree with this as well. Would love to have the option of brushed oyster for tool watch look and jubilee for dressier.

Is the 97200 the Rolex part number for the bracelet the same for the current (124060/12660LN) models as the previous versions?

No. It is 1mm thinner. It is the bracelet that can be fitted on the newest GMTs.
The bracelet from the 124060 and 126610 will not fit the 126710 GMTs.

My question was to see how much demand if Rolex tapped into a retro vibe for the GMT with a all brushed oyster bracelet.

Would it ultimately be a better GMT line up if Rolex let the Jubilee handle the upscale/blingy side and a brushed oyster handle the more sporty/classic side of the GMT line up. Wouldn’t that properly represent more of what the GMT has always been over the years???

I don’t think that will happen. If you like brushed you have the sub and others for that. The gmt is more of a cosmopolitan watch these days. Colorful bezels and a blingy bracelet to match.

Yes … it’s really sad how UNpopular the PCL version is. Rolex ADs can’t give them away.

I'm expecting to get a new Batgirl from my AD in the next month or two. Is there a brushed bracelet that is a perfect fit for this watch? If so, does anyone know the part number so I can order one when the watch comes in? TIA!

I don't think it can get more popular. It's the most demanded piece in my opinion, no matter what bracelet it comes on.

The only brushed option from the factory is the ref #97200 that I posted in the BLNR photo above. That is the original bracelet from a 116610 Submariner with a 20mm lug width. It is fully brushed and has the Glidelock clasp. You need to use the GMT spring bars to use that particular bracelet.

The only other option is to buy an OEM oyster bracelet for the GMT with the PCLs and then send it off to have it polished at Rolliworks (or another jeweler of your choosing).

I like having the Glidelock and already owned the 116610LV so I am using that bracelet on the GMT for now.

Wow, if they offered it on brushed, I'd bet the waiting lists would fill up and they wouldn't be able to meet demand!

oh wait..

I think that’s a pretty decent summary.

FWIW, I’d definitely buy a brushed oyster bracelet as an option (if I could), but jubilee still wins for me.

So many professional references come on oyster and the jubilee is a welcomed change that just seems perfectly suited to the GMT
