Rolex would send that over to Cellini. Won't see it on a DJ or anything Rolex. They don't want moon phases on Rolex watches. That would make Cellini obsolete and that's where Rolex dresses up at.

Oh please lord, let it be this. It would be the first DD to have a wait list.

Someone mentioned this earlier in the thread but why is the seconds hand in the second teaser moving in what appears to be an anti clockwise direction?

I’d love to try it! But I could never give up my champagne dial!

Why isn't the second teaser on the main site or IG? I thought they would place them on each platform (or maybe I missed something)

Ahh ... gotcha!

Also, this might be nothing but the way both clips end with 'New 2019 Watches - Unveiling March 20th' - the first teaser had it written in white/silver, second teaser had it written in gold.

I wouldn't normally post, but the chances of that happening again and being lucky are small.....or I know all the releases coming this week..Hmmm probably the former not the latter lol

What's interesting is what looks like a Diver dial on a Day Date case. Not sure exactly what that could be

The 36mm day-date is due for an update. It had not yet received a new generation movement.

Any chance in the first teaser we are looking at a highly polished black ceramic case . Seconds hand and surrounds on the marker/hands also look black. Ceramic exp2?

That definitely looks like a leaked picture of a revised Explorer II with slim lugs. And it is hiding in plain view on the Rolex site!

Probably somebody in their IT department jumped the gun and updated the site too soon. Or we are all wrong and it is the current Explorer II with a weird perspective. Seems weird that apart from that slimmer lug everything else looks identical: bezel, hour markers, GMT hand...

That's quite a dramatic difference in lug shape on that Exp II.

The font looks different too. The zero is fatter and the triangles aren’t as sharp on the second image.

I was really hoping for a ceramic bezel, polar dial Explorer II to be my next Rolex. Sad!

That was my hope too. The one and only thing I wanted from Rolex at Basel.

And a larger Triplock crown for me, otherwise no interest in the Explorer II.

That explorer 2 pic has been on the website for ages it’s just a snip from the short video that plays when you click on the explorer section on the Rolex website I don’t think it has anything to do with new models personally.

I found the direct link to the photo in high res but can't post it due to <10 posts.

May I ask why the triplock is a must? It is not a the limiting factor in EXPII water resistance and the triplock crown is much more clumsy/difficult to pull out and set than a twin lock. Personally I prefer the twin. Easier to set and bullseye the second hand than the GMT or other triple lock. Set my wifes BLNR this morning, triplocks are a pain.

The one on the left looks like a recent well-made replica to me. Recent ones have smaller bezel font like this. And the one on the right has the right font size as it's the current original model.
Lug size impression could be the angle (or a wrong size of the fake)

So it looks like a false alarm.

I’m expecting the sky D bezel function for the date change on the DD. I think the second teased second clip is that watch. Also my TT SkyD crown looks exactly the same and it’s in YG

Is this the pic everyone is getting excited over?

It’s clearly current model EXII on both just different angle

Fantasies are running wild..
