I have still have hope, Rolex images have been known to be wonky. I wouldn't be surprised if that has nothing to do with Basel. A few years ago they had a dial and bezel combo mixed up on the site, a watch that didn't exist, and it wasn't even during Basel.

However a larger crown above all else is a must. That little baby crown is probably my one reason for not buying that watch, maybe silly but I can't stand it.

ps: If you guys look at the cover of your Rolex mag #8 Explorer2 on the cover, lugs look the same as that "supposed new" lug design. X2 lugs have never been an issue, nobody complained and would look really silly fro a 42mm watch w such thin lugs. The Subs however are screaming for diet.

Would be awesome with the annual calendar function from SkyD incorporated into DD. But not likely :(

You are right. What thew me off is the order of hours.

I'd then call it 7-4 lol

Meanwhile the poor Milgauss is off crying in the corner now. For a quick minute everyone thought it was going to be the belle of the ball (all because Rolex just happened to highlight in a few sequential IG posts like any other model from the current catalog). We are really going down some ratholes now

Amen. My brain shut off when I saw the speculations prompted by the second teaser. We're within 48 hours of the reveal. Time for some popcorn and a comfy chair. I'm done guessing.

There’s no indication that the yellow gold professional hands are actually from the yellow gold watch with fluted bezel. I think we have seen 3 watches for sure so far from both teasers.

1) a professional watch with white gold Mercedes hands and professional dial, either white gold or black hour marker surrounds.

2) a professional dial watch, yellow gold Mercedes hands and professional dial, yellow gold hour marker surrounds.

3) a yellow gold non-professional watch with fluted bezel, either a DJ or a DD.

1 and 2 could be the same watch, just different versions

I tend to agree but still hope you are wrong because I have zero interest in precious metal Rolex, especially "Professional" models.

The teaser states March 20th, Basel starts March 21st, will Rolex actually debut the new releases on their site a day before Basel? Excuse the newbie question but, haven't really been dialed into this in year's past.

Rolex is lying. New models aren't actually revealed until closing day, on March 26. The 500 posts on this forum saying the models are unveiled on March 20 at noon Basel time are just toying with your emotions.

Its a submariner. The second part of the clip shows the upper crown guard which matches the existing sub almost exactly (the crown itself is just not shown for whatever reason). I don't know where this yachtmaster/explorer stuff comes from. Those models have been added to/altered over the past several years. Maybe Rolex is basically mimicking what they did with the GMT last year. In this case putting the new 3235 movement and releasing it in precious metal (white gold/platinum/gold). The GMTs released in 2018 were two-tone and PM. The pepsi jubilee was just sort of a standalone since the bracelet won't swap with an oyster bracelet.

The YM "stuff" comes from identifying the unique lug pattern in the third shot of the first teaser. No models other than the YM and Daytona have that style of lug. The Sub does not, and never has. If that is a redesigned Sub lug, it's a sharp break with the history of its design.

IMO, the Explorer stuff comes from people really wanting it to happen. I see no indications of either Explorer model in either video.

Us folks in the USA will be sound asleep. We'll wake up, stare at our phones, and then we'll see everything that was released.
