It takes a lot of hubris for us as a species to assume that we have a full understanding of physics considering that Einstein only published his general theory of relativity about 100 years ago.

Regardless as to the origin, it's fascinating that there are things out there that exceed our current technological ability. I'm looking forward to more disclosure over the coming years!
Maybe they're challenging us to hide and seek and spanking us mercilessly due to our shitty spacecrafts lol

I feel like time travelers would be the most likely scenario if it were advanced technology. I imagine future earth beings would possibly be interested in seeing living fossils essentially, making contact would cause problems in the timeline. Little bits of info get littered through time to change the course of history,. Could be seen diving into water as there could be water based civilizations in the future due to flooding. Would be nice to get some answers in this lifetime

It's just like stupid humans to be staring up in the sky all the time looking for aliens when in fact they live in the ocean and only come up once in a while to fly around whilst on vacation and sightseeing tours.

80% or the oceans have never been explored.

Good point about how large the oceans are. Did they ever find that Boeing Max that crashed in the Indian Ocean? The worlds’ a best were all looking for it for months.

UFO Disclosure Imminent?

I'm Just Checking In Here to see if they have come to earth yet? I know it's "Imminent" but I've been busy and wanted to make sure I didn't miss it if they showed up or there was a big "disclosure" meeting...

I think its mathematical certainty that there has to be other life in the universe. I have read speculation that there are at least 7 other types of aliens in our galaxy alone. Its all interesting to say the least and fun to read about.

It seems rather dumb to speculate to me, if they truely are time travelers, they just continuously change the timeliness and we'd be none the wiser. And if they have to traverse the galaxy to get here, they're capable at traveling faster than the speed of light, thus able to alter time and cloak their presence, and change reality at their will. If we ever truely do find out, it will be because they expose themselves, not vice versa. Although they might allow us to think we discovered them when in reality there's no way a civilization advanced enough to get here just "crash lands their craft"

I agree that it’s a mathematical certainty that there is other life in the universe. 200 billion galaxies in the universe, each with a billion stars. The numbers are mind numbing. However, the sheer distances are also vast and mind numbing, and so are the universal laws of physics.

To put things into perspective, the ability to traverse from galaxy to galaxy is impossible even with Star Trek warp technology. Traveling to the far reaches of own Milky Way galaxy (100,000 light years) is also impossible. So even with the ability to travel far beyond the speed of light, we’re still limited to distances of only about several hundred light years away, which is just a fraction of the Milky Way Galaxy.

Here is where I become even less optimistic. I think intelligent life is abundant in the universe, no doubt, but perhaps not within in our own galactic neighborhood. When I say galactic neighborhood, I’m talking about the distances that can be travelled with Star Trek warp technology, and that’s where we could find the existence of intelligent life to be quite limited.

You know when you look back at photos of yourself and you think goodness me did I look like that back then, you know in thirty years time you will look back at one’s self now and think goodness me did I look like that.

You are aware in 200 years we will look like primitive species pooping in a bowl, while looking at our Panda.

I'd honestly be surprised if humanity survives 200 years at this rate. Micro plastics being found in organs at birth, birth defects are only going to become more prevalent in children in the coming years. Its said that by 2050 1/2 of all pregnancies will require medical intervention for contraception.

If humanity is around in 200 years, its going to be test tube babies grown in government labs, or even more scary to think about, private labs. If society does exist, i imagine it will lack any individual sovereignty at that point as well. the USA is about to experience their Coup de Grăs(which affects all our allies, alliances are going to be rewritten in the eyes of the new superpower), Chinese influence is only going to grow from here, the values and ideals we hold so self evident aren't going to be as prevalent amongst the world theater in coming years.

People don't realize, many have already paid to give away their genetic sequencing. These ancestry websites are going to own the genetic replicas of their participants in 50-100 years or sell that information to someone who will.
Its bad enough the private sector owns most of the genetics to our food supply, imagine when they figure out how to utilize MRna vaccines better to genetically resequence diseases or birth defective illnesses. Society will be at their mercy for life.
I seriously doubt the future holds a utopia for most, people have been stripped of freedoms continuously in the name of public safety since my birth. I can only imagine this cancer grows with age until the matrix is formed. People are so blissfully unaware as it is, and it's just getting started.

This VR crap is next level.

Humanity is screwed IMO. Elon is getting shit rich off of selling hope though which I find absolutely hilarious. Snake oil at its finest. Papa Elons going to save humanity they say

Dudes going to build a bunker to save himself when the world ends and laugh at all the morons who thought he was bringing them with him is my guess.

If there are no humans on earth in 200 years, will this planet be a better or worse place?

...hope someone remembers to turn off all the nuclear reactors.

Yes, I hear he is living the good life on Vultar-3, has married a beautiful alien female (I THINK it's female, their species has no genitalia ) and spends his time drinking their version of a Mai-Thai on a green-colored beach and looking up at the stars in the night sky, trying to find Sol.

All the best to you Va!

You know, sometimes I agree with you, and looking at all the problems we have brought upon ourselves think: "I am glad I am going to die (relatively) soon." For all the reasons you have stated and about a million others we could have already ended our chance at a future existence. But then, sometimes I see things of hope. For example, pollution, while still very bad, is a LOT better then I remember it even in my lifetime. I remember all kinds of smog alerts in LA when I was a teenager, playing Lacrosse against USC one game during an alert my lungs literally HURT. The brown haze was constant in LA, garbage was everywhere. I am not claiming it is solved, by ANY stretch, but at least in air pollution we have made a great deal of progress. I just read an article about reclamation of desert, in China and UAE they are planting millions of trees and literally changing the climate so that desert will once again be grassland. Supposedly CERN is close to having a working nuclear fusion reactor, which will (IMHO) solve the worlds energy crisis, providing CLEAN and practically unlimited power.

So, I generally agree with your skepticism, but some days I see glimmers of how great the human civilization CAN be.

Somebody wake me up and let me know how it all turns out in a hundred or so years.

Given that we are towards the edge of the Milky Way it’s very unlikely that there are any civilizations within, say, several hundred parsecs of us. And therefore impossible to reach (for us at least).

That being said I think we are where we are because being on the edge keeps us away from all the extinction level supernovae at the galactic core.

Mind blowing!
