Well finally tried some RM today, the 011 regular and with GMT, the GMT was 160K euros, crazy IMO, the regular was 110K, both Ti, and also the 039 which I found huge, I liked the 011 but don't think I would put so much cash in a chrono, but must admit they are very nice, also tried a AP 44mm, the SS model, and good news the size is fine in fact, so I think that my next piece will be the 44 RG as I find it incredible and a RG piece would make a very nice trio with my 2 actual pieces...

I hear you - the price of admission to the RM world is indeed high!
I really like the 11 in all its guises, the new ti 11 bracelet model looks very nice but at 180k USD way out of my league. I also tried on the 32 Diver in RG - wow what a piece, but just too big for my wrist.

Also liked the 61-01 which was a surprise to me as it was not a piece I had previously considered. The world of RM is certainly a captivating & exciting place👍

The 44mm AP ROO RG is certainly a great looking piece - good luck in your search.

Great shots Colin

For those worried about RM 'chrono' pricing, RM buyers like exclusivity (2000-2500 made per year).

Pay. To. Play.

That 32 is a beast - almost moved on one before the wise men in this thread convinced me to go tonneau, thankfully.

Armand, isnt the weight going to be an issue for you? The 44mm is a great piece, and I hope you get it... But I ask because I've seen a lot of posts by you complaining (or showing distaste) over heavier pieces.

Colin, those 61-01's look awesome!!!

Well I need to try it on and try to see if it's ok or not, many owners say that the weight is well distributed, in fact if there is a little weight it's ok if the comfort level is very good, if it's heavy and not super comfy then it could be a problem...

could someone explain me how the 011 is AC? I read that it calculates the 30 or 31 days months, but there is no day and month like in usual AC/PC's right? I forgot to ask the saleslady when I saw them about this, in France the GMT function is a surplus of 50K, was a little bit shocked, better get the "normal" 011 and with the 50K you can get an awesome GMT/world timer watch, of course they are really cool but the price range is a little out of my league to be honest, could have pulled it off one day by selling the PAtek if I had been blown away when I saw it, I found it great but wasn't blown away, I think as a 3rd watch will go either ALS Datograph Perpetual used, you can find some at 55% of the retail price, or AP 44mm RG, hard to choose, both are great, the Lange is top notch and the equivalent of the Patek 5970 for much cheaper and the same quality, or the AP, much simpler but RG, huge wrist presence and also a bargain price wise, it's just a little more than a Patek 5167R...

You may want to spend some time on RM site doing some homework. And yes there is a date and month function. Among other things you didn't mention. Again go to RM site or maybe next time go to RM Boutique as I'm sure they know these things.

RM is not a brand for someone looking to save a dollar here or there--and certainly not one trying to see how many other watches they can buy for the same price.

I'm confused as to how someone with the highest posting rate on the forum - seemingly at least - who is telling everyone he's on the verge of buying a 6 figure watch, doesn't comprehend what an annual calendar is. It shows the month and date. Do you think because it doesn't also show the day of the week it's not an AC?

Arnaud, I answered this in your diver thread post but maybe a photo is required.

You can see the month window between 4 and 5. In this case, 9, which of course is September.

Well I did do my homework before asking this question, and I know it says AC but I just don't get where is the month, I looked at many dial pics and just see the date, no day or month, that's why I'm asking as looking on the net didn't answer my question, and I completely forgot to ask the saleslady about this when I was there, so if someone would be kind enough to explain me where is the month that would be great if it's not asking too much… OK editing, Roger answered my question on my "blue diver" post and I must say when you look at pics it's quite hard to spot, I looked at I don't know how many 011 pics and never managed to spot anything else than the date...

I am absolutely not trying to see how many other watches I can get for the same price just saying what other models might interest me as a 3rd watch, I liked the 011 it just didn't blow me away as I consider a watch like that should, I will try to see in real either a Y.Blake or R.Nadal, non tourbillon version as the design seems more appealing to me at least on pics…

My mother dropped me when I was small and I'm a little stupid since read my post to Paul…. Oh and I never told anyone that I'm on the verge of buying a 6 figure watch, just that I'm considering what watch to get as my next one, and yes I could put the 6 figures, but if I do it would need to be a watch that really blows me away, for now the only one that I find mind blowing is the Lange datograph perpetual, the RM 011 didn't fascinate me...

Please don't use the word retarded. You may have no way of knowing it, but it's considered poor form nowadays.

I was making fun of myself since you seemed to think I am not able to use my full brain capacity , and believe me I don't make fun of people like that at all, my son being afflicted with autism I am confronted with things I wouldn't wish my worse enemy if I had one, but I changed the post to "a little stupid since then"

interesting article on RM watches http://www.therichest.com/luxury/wat...atch-models/2/

They didn't make a mistake on number 3? the 52-01, I have a hard time imagining that it costs 1.4 million, I thought it was more around 5-600K, there is one for sale on chrono 24 for 600K, hurry as there is just one for sale

I have another question that some will of course find very stupid, but having as for the AC looked on internet and having found nothing except this : "ROTOR WITH VARIABLE GEOMETRY Arm in grade 2 titanium Flange in grade 2 titanium 5-positional adjustment via grade 5 titanium screws Weight segment in tungsten/cobalt alloy Ceramic ball bearings Unidirectional; anti-clockwise winding direction This exclusive RICHARD MILLE design allows the rewinding of the mainspring to be adapted most effectively to the user’s activity level whether it be sporting or non-sporting environments. By adjusting the setting of the rib’s placement, the rotor’s inertia is modified to either speed up the winding process in the case of leisurely arm movements, or slow it down when sporting activities are pursued. As a result, this invention allows the movement’s winding mechanism to be optimized and personalized to the owner’s lifestyle" that's great but how do you change the different adjustments of the rotor? It says that it has screws, but if you have to open the case back to adjust it I think that would be kind of hard for a person who is not a watchmaker, anyone can explain how it works? I understand the principle but just don't get how you make the adjustments….

I always wait for live and wrist shots (and live inspection of course) before final judgment... loved some models on press pics but not so much in real life...

And there is one thing I missed... l

RM035 Americas limited is enclosed in a bigger case with 4 side screws and original baby Nadal 035 has only 2 of them...

035 Americas also have clear back but I think no one missed that... here is some pics... (credit to FlybackNYC)

It requires a trip to the service centre Arnaud. Moving the pins alters the winding speed by adjusting the winding rotor radius basically. When you buy one the dealer is supposed to ask whether you are a couch potato or usain bolt and then they adjust accordingly.

I agree, however I am surprised how taken I was with the black & white version - think it may be a more versatile watch than I first imagined. Really like the asymmetrical case on the 61 & very light & comfy on the wrist too👍
