Oh. My. Goodness.

Nothing sexier than a targa. And I’m GTS. Wow. I’m a huge fan of this car. Was this your build? Or you found it?

As much as I love my turbo s cab, I have a special place in my heart for the targa. Had a 991.2 GTS. I stupidly sold it. And a friend KN Florida actually found it for sale recently. If it wasn’t about the same price I paid, much more than I sold it for, I’d have bought it back.

Huge congrats on this sexy beast. An absolute lifetime keeper imo.

Thanks Seth! It’s been rain and snow the last couple weeks here in Northern NV so as soon as the weather clears I’m getting a proper detail and will post pics then. You guys would disown me from this thread if you saw the shape she’s in right now lol.

Thanks everyone,
I have been wanting one and this one just popped up. I did not spec it. Ultimately I’m glad I didn’t because there’s no way I would have ordered it this nice- it has like every single thing covered in leather. I love it and I didn’t pay a premium.

Congrats! Exceptional car and well spec'd. I had a 991.1 targa once upon a time, great car, the roof mechanism is something special to watch in action.

I love hearing that. It also confirms the car games are near to over. Because this is one of the most desired cars on the market today. So no vig is a great thing to hear.

And I agree on the allure of everything covered in leather. I built my targa. I did not go all the way. And the plasticy bits were disappointing. It bugged me more than I care to admit.

When I built my turbo s, I went nuts. If I thought I might want it, I did it. Including all the leather. I figured in the long run it would be cheaper than being disappointed again, and selling at a loss, again.

Huge congrats again. You picked up a heck of a find.

i remember seeing some insane deals for those back in 2020 when they discontinued them. dealers were giving like an automatic 20-25% off msrp + incentives + leases on M models were cheaper to begin with due to higher residual values. i saw people leasing those for around $1100-1200 a month

crazy that the demand was so bad they discontinued them and eventually brought them back and i assume with premiums in the past year? lol

Ya I remember hearing about those deals too. Thank god I didn’t pay a premium on this one lol. I’ve taken some beatings before on some M5s but this one hurt more because I didn’t really use it enough. Bought it in June I think.

Any advice on uploading to Tapatalk?

This is my kind of car! Wish it were available more widely. Great choice …

Yes sir, it's an Ariel Atom 3. Just bought it 2 months before I put it away for winter so unfortunately, I haven't had much seat time. I am completely SHOCKED at the Atom's rawness! The constant squeaks, rattles, vibrations, and ringing results in a cacophony that is unrivaled in any of my transportation experiences, which includes all manners of trains, cars (Shelby Cobra), a farm tractor, an old school 18 wheeler (no air suspension), boats, aircraft (Cessna), steam and diesel powered locomotives, and falling down a mountain in a human sized tin can filled with pennies.

If you can get past that (usually with hearing protection), the Atom 3 (Supercharged Honda K Motor) is automotive nirvana. Zero layers of isolation. There is just you and the road. No safety nannies, no airbags, no ABS, just a screaming engine, a great 6 speed gearbox, and an LSD. Acceleration is violent and immediate. If you are at 4K and up, the car just explodes as you hit the throttle. I cant keep up with the tach because it revs so damn fast. I have to shift on sound because I don't dare take my eyes off the road.

I'm shocked at the extremely low center of gravity. Cornering is unlike any other car I've driven, primarily because of the extreme light weight (I think 1250 lbs?) and grippy tires (R888). Braking is scary, its sooooo easy to lock up the tires. Highway driving = huge pucker factor!! Higher speeds results in alot of steering correction, I attribute this to the short wheelbase. Speaking of steering, I LOVE not having power/electric steering. It's crazy how much the road talks to you, how much information you are missing out by having modern steering.

I can not for the life of me, hear the exhaust. But the supercharger whine raises the hairs on the back of my neck, I get goosebumps everytime I run to redline, screams like a banshee. Combine that with the extreme acceleration, you get instant adrenaline rushes.

Picked up this 2023 Mini John Cooper Works convertible. Rebel green with Chesterfield Malt quilted seats. It's a pocket rocket.
