I do think it's a beautiful song, no matter the background with it: Mom used to play a bit, and she once told me she never could play Ebb Tide very well. Years passed, and she's now 83 and quite disabled from Alzheimer's. She has no recollection of the song anymore. My sister and I plan to have it played at her funeral.

Now, lest you become too wistful over this news.... don't worry - my sister and I have always had a difficult and tempestuous relationship with Mom... but we figure somehow the song would be appropriate. There was a time in her life she would have appreciated hearing it played well.

That's one classic French Canadian accent I hear from our Carl! Naturally, the Cajun accent is just around the corner from that. Oh, and great blues playing, very crunchy but clean sound there.

I haven't heard Wes yet but will try...YouTube doesn't agree with my slow modem, so I have to do it in doses.

It's so awesome that Kaya and Lisa had a confab to figure out Ducky's future care. Ducky is well launched into this world!!

Well it's a beautiful song, and I loved playing it. It's certainly music from a different era. I listened to the Righteous Brothers version a few times.

I always love to play something new and different. Thanks for the inspiration.

Thank you so much Michelle! You should post videos of your sister singing as well!

I'm afraid you cannot find my videos on Youtube as they're not "really" on it. I've put an option in which you can only see them if you know the link to avoid people from looking at them (besides TRF, that is).

By the way, that one is my only music video so far but I may record more (who knows...perhaps tonight!? ). I'll post them right here if you want.

Thank you J, Quebec's accent is rather unique indeed but I wouldn't mind learning to have the Cajun's...

As for Wes, you definitely need to listen to him!

Hi all,
Could anybody give some insight into my picture-posting problem? I finally figured out how to retrieve pics off of my computer's photo library, and put them into the "manage attachments"; when i click "upload", after a couple of minutes, a message comes up saying I have incorrect security tokens.....so where can I get some of these?? ( the pictures are jpg format)
I tried contacting the forum management , but I'm told I have an invalid URL??
So I'm incorrect and invalid What to do...what to do...
Thanks folks

Hi coffee shop people,
Here is yet another attempt to offer a peak into my life...
Due to the complete lack of green in my thumb, there are no flower pics; animal and kid pics are fair representations of my current interests
My grey cat is Delilah; my upside down white cat is Viola (She has one blue eye/one gold eye), My daughter Katie competes in show jumping with our horse Taylor, (he is my avatar too), and my son Austin is heavy into hockey,( Sorry Carl he is not a Canadiens fan...)
Thanks for the photo bucket info! They had the elusive tokens tokens I guess;

Thanks Bill and Shannon,
I'm far more proud of my kids then my watch
Katie just turned 19, so she is legal now ; She just finished her first year at Carleton University in Ottawa, and discovered homesickness in a big way, so she is transferring to a school back home (we have 3 universities to choose from!)
Austin just turned 15, and, like almost every hockey playing canadian kid, dreams of playing in the NHL. He is going into his draft year for Junior A this September, so it'll be an important year for him!
Anyway, my life pretty much revolves around them and their interests right now...

Lovely photos, Michelle. I love your watch!

Wow, I admire your young ones for taking on such challenging and involving sports (really involving you all as a family). I hope Katie is excited about the upcoming change for her next year of college.

Nice to meet you!

Hi Michelle!
Great watch...I wore a mid-size yacht master for quite awhile and loved it.
Enjoyed all your pics.

Very good.
My son is 15 also and will be starting his junior year in high school next year. We are hopeful that all his sports will help him get some scholarship money for college.

Your YM looks so nice on you. And hey, curly-top! From another curly-top.

Thanks folks, for helping me figure the photo thing out!
-hey J- I think I read that you have gone from an urban upbringing to a country lifestyle right? There has got to be a great deal of work behind those beautiful pics of your garden and property!your country lifestyle will keep you healthy.
re- my kid's activities, both sports have a high risk of injury, so I'm actually a little numb- feeling when I'm watching them! but I'm happy they can pursue their passions.
-Dbelle- did you ever use the bezel on your Y-Master? I find I'm using mine a lot- like timing the drive from point A to B; I love it!
-Bill- awesome pics of your son! Doesn't it amaze you how a kid can go from being a child to an athlete, in what feels like almost overnight? regarding scholarships, my hubby is beginning to ponder wether trying for a hockey scholarship would not be better for our son, than being drafted to a junior A team- OHL in ontario...problem is, he'd have to go to the states for that kind of a scholarship, as Canada does not offer ones in hockey
- Lisa- oh girlfriend, is not humidity SO much fun??
- Wes- would there be any more piano videos coming soon? I'm collecting them!
Have a grreat Wednsday everyone!

That's okay, I cannot be mad at your son because I'm probably the only French Canadian who doesn't enjoy hockey...

Now, to be a bit more serious, I really like your pictures! Your son and daughter seem to enjoy their activities (I wish them a lot of luck and especially a lot of fun with them)! As for your cats, they look quite lovely (I'm a big dogs guy but I find those little fur balls pretty cute).

Hi Michelle, just uploaded a vid for you. I did post this before in a thread here, this song and "The Heart asks Pleasure First" are from the film "The Piano" with Holly Hunter. I deleted it as was unhappy with it, just can't quite capture the magic of the song. But I can't be bothered to record it again.

I hope this tides you over until I get time to record something new.

Not to repeat myself (take a look at my PM) but I loved it Wes! It is truly beautiful!

Please post many more!
