Yes they are. Don't think it is right that you should have to pay them back though.

Thanks again for the info.

Homes in the Woodlands sell as fast as they come on the market.
The reason is again Delia's daughter and grandkid....my mother has lived in Houston since 80 when she got married again...she has stage four dementia now.
As bad as I hate Houston The Woodlands was great with the Trails,Malls,Great food palces, that little boat ride? kinda like a new riverwalk like S.A has....lots of stuff to do and not much driving.
I think they had some big place with free concerts in the summer in The Woodlands....we went there once...cant think of the name now.
I still dont know about selling this place in AZ...it was bank owned and bought it 3 years ago for nothing.
I would have to buy a dehumidifier....maybe two.
My older kids are going to visit their Auntie in a few weeks - she's already got lots of activities booked for them, including the boat ride.

Didn't know your mom was in Houston. Is she in a nursing home? Sorry to learn this - it's a tough time for families.

Maybe you could start turning all of your vacant houses into rental properties.

I would be more inclined to rent out the retirement home since old folks have no kids....(kids are not allowed here).
My wife had bad luck renting out a house with her ex husband so she is for selling it.
Since we both dont work and only have her S.S. for income....and its not much.
Our savings get lower every month and im 7 years till 62 and S.S.
And still it wont be much....medical bills are killing me.
I need to get rid of all this overhead I have.

My 83 year old mother and her 94 year old husband have 24x7 LVN's.....they never wanted to leave their home.
She has the mind of a 4 year old girl now.....pretty sad.

My mom's the same age - soon she'll need 24 hour care but we're still keeping her at her home with daily caregiver visits, just not round the clock.

Hope you can get those homes sold then, if you do decide to return to Texas.

Watchmaker isn't a job you have for the salary Wes, it is a job you have for the passion you have for watches' and clocks' movements.

...But in case you wanted to know, should I decide to become an independent one, I could have a pretty decent salary (although it does depend on the quality of my work and the amount of clients I have ).

I do not need to go to medical school...anyway, I really doubt anybody would want me to get close to their bodies!

I'm sure hoping to keep my elderly parents at home with an increase in home care as they need it ;I think that this scenario would be so much less stressful on them and also much less expensive then a nursing home.
No matter what, its so hard seeing your parent's health- both mental and physical decline. The importance of "Family" is paramount at this time in life- having a close group of people to rally with each other and support the parents is a blessing and a necessity.

So sorry Carl- we were all to busy eating and yakking to see ghosts and take pics, but the food and atmosphere was great!
The pub grub menu included things like Melton mowbray pork pie, bangers & mash, steak Guinness & onion pie...of course steak and kidney pie.....Wes would you care to translate ?
there was also a lot of going on!

Well, we are off for another dusty happy day at the show....I get to relax as Kate rode yesterday, but I'll be "hand holding" and supporting the other moms whose kids are on today,(returning the favour!) we horse-show-moms stick together!

I know it would probably be worth it in the long run, but I don't think I have the stomach for it.
9k a year not a term. So 36k not 108k. Big difference. I might have to redo maths as well.

Besides, in the US at least, you only pay during the first 4 years. Beginning with the internship and through residency, you are paid enough money to live on.

I need to read up on medical training in the UK to see how it compares.
