Just the lighting. Tough watch to capture as you know. It’s basically a blue mirror in bright light.

Thank you. Just an ACM but I had a casual brown and blue pairing in mind and it worked well.

At least someone got lucky. The boutique was nice enough to add the CB to my interest list but it is one which no discussion of ETA was made. I take it as a good sign that at least it is on my list but it will probably one of those that shows up when it shows up.

It's a 2018 so he likely bought it walking in off the street.

I have plenty on my wish list but sometimes I need things here and now. Also I have not owned a classic journe only linesport so this gives me an opportunity to assess my enjoyment of it before accepting any allocations and then having doubts. It has only made me want that damn Pt Havana CS more.

I have a yellow dial CMS on my wish list and was told that it will be worked on as a possible 2024 allocation. Apparently there is no 2023 titanium production. I found Linesport to be very comfortable and at the same time has all the Journe design language. Not sure why it was under the radar for so long until now.

If all goes well, I will have something to share with the group in a few days. This one is and will be the biggest incoming in my lifetime.

My wife was against yellow but I like the bumble bee look. It will be the only yellow dial watch in my collection which will make it extra special.

It’s definitely a statement. I’m too boring so I selected grey even though my SA tried to talk me into yellow. I think the yellow could wind up more collectible but I know my taste and I’ll wear the grey more.

They are both from the same dial maker?

Correct. Same dial manufacturer and same construction technique to create that electric blue effect.

Thanks spartan. Yeah las cadraniers was set up by FPJ originally with Harry Winston and Cedric Johner as partners but he bought them out and brought in VC as a new partner. So the dials are both made by Les Cadraniers. That said, they aren’t the same as evidenced by holding them side by side. Not saying the CB is better as I know many would prefer the VC. Similar but different.

You are correct my friend. I found that the dial on the CB to have more depth. But that could be my Journe bias…or lack of sleep

Does the CB have any sun brushed effect or is the metal high polish under the blue top layer?

That would be a difference for sure. VC has a definite radial brush under there.

The CB is a black polish under the top layer whereas the VC has a radial finish that gives it a sunburst effect from what I gather.

Beautiful piece @llngoc! I believe that's a 42mm?

Was at the Journe boutique yesterday and was talking to my SA and I mentioned that it would have been nice to bring back the 38mm since it's a perfect size for small wrists. I was told that 40mm was the sweet spot and curious if it's just me that's wanting this smaller size or others feel the same as well.

I wrote Pierre Halimi a lengthy email about bringing it back and I hope they do in the next few years. 2026+
