The 10th anniversary looks stunning! I'm curious to see what the new red tpt RM011 looks like in real life. Anyone seen one yet?

Well I will cut right to the chase. I still don't like the NTPT 11s - I find them too busy in conjunction with the complex movement. I think the NTPT works much better on the simpler 35. I don't think the blue and yellow details work for me either. Of the three most recent versions (Massa 10th, Geneva and Midnight Fire) I much prefer the latter.

11 is huge compared to my baby RM but I prefer my 002 for the moment!

Great shots and feedback Roger! I would like to see it in person as well.

I'm wondering if out side (in the sun) it would have more pop due to the 'reflection' in the NTPT flakes.

The lighting in the RM boutiques here is terrible it must be said. Zero daylight.

Nice size comparison pic Roger. I kind of like the look of that 11, however I've always liked blue accents on a watch!
I appreciate your comment regarding how busy the piece looks, their is just so much to take in with the NTPT case texture.

I have found with many people, the NTPT is a love or not material.

I think (again can't speak for 10th) it probably brings a ton of texture to the 011 and would carry more wrist presence than an all black (of course the Midnight Fire may change my mind on that).

Hope to see one soon in the sunlight.

Looks familiar - congrats again Paul on your new 11 😄
Now 'note to self' - don't sell it until next piece is on your wrist in future👍

Hi RM people,

I have been through horology experince from Tag Heuer to Chopard to PAM to AP and PP.
Now, i feel the right time to try RM.

My budget max $100k, i dont mind to buy second hand.

What is the best RM around that budget that you guys can suggest me?

Thanks

Cheers,
Mike

Simple. RM011 and with right discount will be less than your budget. You will enjoy the brand and be amazed by the watches. Try and go by an AD or Boutique and try several on as for me it's a must. After you narrow it down let the hunt begin for the best price.

I tried on the midnight fire...it's nice and all...but didn't believe it was worth the premium over a "normal" RM11

Well, that sort of ruins the surprise party....

Just received my first RM today. I tried this piece on several times while I was in Vegas at the RM boutique. There are only a couple of RMs that I've found myself attracted to enough over the last few years to contemplate a purchase, but never pulled the trigger due to the second hand market plunge in value. The skull tourbillon has always been one of my favorite pieces, but price was exorbitant on those. I also like the Aviator models with the bright colors on the dial, but they don't have the same level of popularity (read as: resale value) as the RM011.

When I saw this piece it was love at first sight:

I was also very surprised that RM includes shoes with its watches (or at least the RM011) that match the watch. Pretty cool package all around. I'm surprised people don't post their watch/shoe combos on TRF.

I hear you. If everyone liked the same thing, it would be a very boring watch industry. For instance, I feel the same way about the Platona that you feel about the midnight fire. For me the midnight fire is worth the premium because I love how it looks. There are plenty of RM pieces I have absolutely no interest in at all, but there's a screw for every nut...

Fantastic choice Q! Glad it all worked out and think it's just a killer way to get into RM.

Huge congrats and the first in the US that I know of!
