For everyone, I have to get off my tush and start making the calls to find out who the best specialist surgeons are who are doing wrist replacement procedures. I know I will have to travel into Chicago but first I have to quit procrastinating and get the process started. I keep wishing/hoping that my wrists and hands will start calming down with Fall approaching and cooler weather. This year here in Chicago area we are experiencing the worst known drought and heat stress since they have been keeping records. Yes, worse than even 1936 and 1934.....

All creatures whether insects, birds, fish, animals and mammals are affected/effected by this ongoing situation and even tho I watered everyday for 4-6 hours(and believe me it added over $300.00 to our water bill)now plants are beginning to tailspin and die. For music, everyone check out some Jazz either in Hard Bop or Bebop and turn the volume down, soften the lighting and sit back and relax and listen.....it soothes the mind and enriches the soul. If you want pour yourself a glass of wine, port or your favorite Scotch or Cognac and of course wait till the kids are in bed...shut your eyes and listen and let your mind go.........

Good luck Leo- we'll all be thinking of you, I'm sure!
I'm guessing that the procedure you need will probably require a huge time commitment- in terms of recovery , physio, etc- even just the thought of going into surgery.....so no wonder you've been holding off the decision...I hope you find the best course of action for yourself and then go for it! and don't look back,

There is also a cool article about Rolex being a non profit in that same newsletter if you click on the home page of the newsletter. I learned something new...
Hi Dawna- thats a nice little news clip! Its one of the reasons I'm a Rolex fan- their philanthropic side as well as the fact they are still a privately owned company!

Hi Michelle, did you do that last horse show? How'd it go?

Just got back from poker night with the lads. 6 guys in, £120 winner takes all. Me and my mate Moon, last 2 in. Couple of big hands all in. He needs a heart on the final card, 1 in 4 chance, gets it. All but wipes me out. I battle back, next all in, both have 2 pairs, mine higher. So final card turn he can only beat me with a 7(as our other pair is the same), for full house. 1 in 13 chance, and guess what, he gets it.

Absolute joke,

Hi Leo, I think quite often what happens with pain is that when it calms down it can lead you to believe maybe it wasn't that bad or things are getting better, but it often returns. Like you said you gotta make things happen.

I know you said you don't want keep venting here, but we're happy to listen anytime.

Well, guys, here it is. My last music video.

Wes, I would like you to accept my sincerest apologies. I had an idea of a video I wanted to post just for you but, alas, it just really didn't work out. I would have had to think about it for a longer time and try something else to make it sound better so I thought "well, what makes Wes's videos so great?"...

...And I found it! Their simplicity! Just a man with his ten fingers and his piano! So there you go my friend, just another man with his ten fingers and his guitar (and pajamas...).

Enjoy mate!

Absolute joke,
Good morning Wes, (whoops- good afternoon to you!), the "run-down" of your poker game reminds me of a show my son watches -its a televised poker game! I swear Poker has the potential to become an olympic sport someday! (look what happened with beach volleyball )

The horse show started on Thursday and continues until Sunday- This is the Provincial Champs, so riders from all over Ontario are here!
Katie and Tay had a "Disney moment"......I'll explain- to qualify for Champs, you have to be in the top 7 of your zone,(we are Ontario central west), and there are seven zones. Katie Just made it in-she was 7th place at the end of her show season (which was two weeks ago).Well!- on Thursday.....She and Tay came in First out of fifty-three riders! Her coach and myself were in tears....(happy tears)....anyway she has two more classes to compete in- one today ,(and its pi$$ing rain right now-they will still have to ride ), and tomorrow, so lots of fun ahead!

Don't like it, are you kidding, loved it, loved how you slowed it down and kept the rhythm going. Very cool. Listened to it several times, and very touched that you dedicated that to me. Man hug

Sad that you say it's your last, I hope not. Totally understand you are moving and that you have to concentrate on your studies. Obviously wishing you all the best with it.

Well guitar or no guitar as long as you keep posting here, thats what matters.

Carl, as we say in Essex, you're a diamond geezer.

Hi Coffeeshop people, i'm back from a very soggy horse show day- lots of rain, hence lots of mud puddles! (The show goes on despite the rain, so very slippery conditions!) In today's class the riders had to get through a course of jumps without knocking any poles down and had to do so in under 70 seconds, in order to qualify for the jump-off- which is the actual timed event- the one that counts; So kate and taylor were flying thru all the mud and puddles at their usual crazy fast pace,.....then they knocked the very last pole down .... so did not get to the jump off. C'est la vie! At least they got through safely!

One more chance on Sunday morning- but truly, I'm so happy she had her moment on Thursday! i'm pretty Zen about the rest of the weekend!

So- any more poker on your horizon?

We play every couple of months, use to win quite a bit, but don't think I have won for over a year now. Don't have much luck at the moment. Was going round my brothers for a bbq today, pulled my bike out the garage, completely dead, think I must of left the parking light it.

Playing golf tomorrow, probably get struck by lighting.

Wes, your kind words are heartwarming and much appreciated! I'm bummed by the fact that my original idea didn't work but I'm glad you liked this one. Unfortunately I'm thinking it will be my last music video (at least for now) more because of the neighbors than the studies, I must respect the people who live near me so I'll stop recording myself and play at a very low volume or with headphones. I still keep an open mind though, perhaps I'll be able to record myself without disturbing or annoying everybody.

Obviously I'll keep posting on the forum and especially in this thread! In the meantime, do us all a favor and keep playing for us my friend.

You are a class act! Man hug to you as well!
