I like the kettle cooked type chips best. I've had these really good ones you can get at specialty stores - I the the flavor was Rosemary and Olive oil. Yum! Salt and vinegar are great, too. My hubby loves the Cape Cod ones. I also have a yen for Pringles!

Cape Cod chips are the best. I noticed an interesting remark to one of your posts this morning. I will only comment that I enjoy all of your posts and look forward to more.

Only bad thing about the Fritos Corn Chips is the chip breath you carry around for an hour or two, but they are so good.

Thanks, Joe! Yes, I found that one interesting as well, but I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt for now...

Spot on. I got a funny story about eating pickled eggs and doritos: while drinking beer in a friends poorly ventilated basement during the USC--Notre Dame football game a couple of years ago. Too early for the story. Enjoy the snow day. |

Here's a really funny story. When I was in fifth grade, I went to my first school dance in the school gym. My mom was always very conservative with the junk food, so when I found Doritos being served with the other refreshments, I indulged.
Well, being 10 (and not an experienced Dorito consumer), I didn't realize the perils of eating them until one of the boys I had danced with told me I had "Dorito breath"! Let's face it - ten year olds have no etiquette skills. I was mortified!!

Just got back from Target. Picked up a bag of Archer Farms Maui Onion kettle potato chips. Am sampling them now with a can of Pepsi. How's that for a good lunch? The chips are good, but a little tame. Still quite nice.
Has anyone tried dill potato chips? They're pretty good. |

Vanilla's good - but better once you mix in chocolate!

One day I put some pickled eggs in Al's lunch. The guys told him to tell me that I'm not allowed to do that any more unless I send enough for all of them!

Should I assume a pickled egg is just an egg marinated in brine - like pickled cucumbers?? Sounds smelly! Where do you even buy such things?

I've made them before in white vinegar. Hard boil some eggs and let them sit in a jar filled with the stuff for about 6 weeks. You can also put garlic and hot peppers in the jar
