The small batch is better than the single barrel - now the barrel proof is another story!

Co-workers got me this when they we're in Taiwan. I've had the blue one before but not the Pedro. Can't wait to try it this holidays.

Haven’t check in on the thread in a few days, you guys are killing it with your finds. My store takes pretty good care of me, but he doesn’t get these heavy hitters in. Our area gets the “leftovers” after Las Vegas has its crack with the distributors...

I did pick up the 2019 Stagg Jr, and a Michter’s Rye Barrel Proof, as well as this Peerless Rye Store pick. Also got the Old Forester 1910 last time I was in. I was hoping to pick up a WLW or Eagle Rare 17 before deploying in January, but my guy was told “not a chance.” Oh well...

As with most single barrel releases, I think this varies. I’ve had a phenomenal EHT SB that tasted like a higher proof Eagle Rare. Conversely, I had one the other night that tastes like a cat peed in the barrel...

Some of the other guys probably have the connections but I paid double msrp on the two m20s I have and that VWFRR is 20 years old lol

So don’t feel bad

Just got the call for my allocation. Price went up significantly. Pappy 12 is $550 with tax, Pappy 15 is $700, and George T Stagg is $300. Last year I paid $100 for 10 year and $120 for 12 year. Crazier than the SS Daytona situation.

Hmm 12 is at secondary pricing flat out. 15 is a good deal even if it’s marked up like crazy as secondary on those is about 1000 and the stagg is 125 below market.

I’d grab the 15 for sure. Heard the stagg was not so great this year.

I'd do the Pappy 15 at that price, but probably pass on the rest. It's not super important for me to get the hard-to-get stuff if it's just going to be marked up crazily. Lot B isn't anything special, IMO, and not worth the $550 tag.

If I got offered a WL Weller or ER17 BTACs at the $300 range, I'd be all over it...
