I'd say 2 for me.
5712 and 5726 (or 5980/90). If you collect Patek only, a fair few more. If you are a Nautilus only person, then one of each variation mixing up between steel and PM.

A watch is not only an instrument, it should be durable and companion during your lifetime.
Nautilus is beautiful but the bracelets prone to scratches. |

I wouldn't buy one Nautilus at current price.
If Nautilus by itself and didn't say "Patek Philippe" on it, the 5711 wouldn't it be in the $2-5K range? |

Probably some youtube watch experts ever mentioned Nomos is an alternative to Patek Calatrava which maybe true if you don’t care about watch brand. And Calatrava contains more value than Nautilus as it has longer historical value.
You will see in YouTube if you type “Forget Patek Philippe, Get One Of These Instead” |

the brand Patek has potential value retention or appreciation -
The Nautilus watch by itself without the print “Patek Philippe” , may worth less than Nomos or Japanese Grand Seiko; I mean Nomos / Grand Seiko may tell as accurate time as Nautilus; well engineered and well built with fine quality movement but Grand Seiko or Nomos they are unsellable watch if you one day need the money. And if you pass the watch to your children, they will wonder why did you buy these unsellable items for thousands of dollars and then your children help you throw the watches into a bin. |

wow, I'm surprised I'm not the only one... and I've owned 3
Maybe if they all didn't break and were reliable id feel differently? But the design never spoke to me like the Royal Oak, and I'm sure a ton of you feel the same way in reverse. Thankfully we have preference And PS to the newbies, my ownership was pre hype and before you guys saying "because they haven't gotten theirs yet" got theirs lol If you didn't own it before the hype and investment is it because you truly loved it? :p And PPS I respect you guys that truly love it love it, keep enjoying them! |

Two tone Naut is amazing with the blue dial. Probably only two tone I'd own and wear.
I'd dash the 5711/1A. Keep the 1R |

Why? The pushers harm, or should I say ruin, the beauty of the symmetrical Nautilus case, I prefer thin cases, and I find the AR + bright blue dial combo a little too spectacular. Would rather have the 5968 you had earlier. |

wife still top. unmatched in scratching. she would do miracles on you RM, no matter the outer-space scratch proof materials. one day is enough.

If unsure, sell the 1A and you can always trade the 1R for another 1A down the line if it doesn't feel right.
