I am not up on all the sneakerhead jargon. I meant grab, not hit. But the L&Fs hit hard

Those look awesome! Congrats on the addition.
I’ve been checking on line for the black ‘taxis’. Anyone here familiar with dtlr.com? Are they legit? Thanks,

I like ebay with their authentication guarantee.
I actually ordered the A Ma Maniere 4's and it failed ebay's authentication process, thus getting me a refund. Better safe than sorry. My L&F's also arrived quicker than expected, even after passing through the authenticators first (supposed to be delivered on 12/30 but arrived on 12/20). |

I might need to know where you got these :) my favorite pair of shoes is the J 3’s specially white cements. Seen a few posts before about sneakers but they all die pretty quick, happy to keep the ball rolling here. Here’s a pic of my “Christmas tree” from a couple of years ago. lol Enviado desde mi iPhone utilizando Tapatalk

Such a timeless design - it's amazing that first iteration of the Jordan shoe still resonates to this day. |

Facts! I rocked them at the mall today and got a few comments. There is a hypebeast sneaker and clothing store there. They have L&Fs starting at $550!

Thanks. Yep, last month.
https://www.nike.com/a/jordan-1-chic...nd-inspiration I wore the OGs in 1985 when I was in my early teens. Brings back memories.

Santa (my parents) delivered the goods this Christmas with the Denim 3's for our eldest. Makes me think I also need a pair of some 3's!

Alright, so dumb-ish question…. My little girls love Jordan’s. I always did when I was younger too but there was no way my parents would ever pop that cash on shoes. I’ve thought about grabbing a pair to rock with my kiddos… I’m thinking anything from 1-5’s in a “restrained” color-way might work for this Dad. Any suggestions?

I love how the 2, 3 and 4's don't have the swoosh and can look somewhat designer. The problem is you'll probably have to pay above retail for your sizing for those model numbers (except maybe the 2's). |

Wow that shoe tree. Those 97 Wortherspoons are my all time favorite shoe. Those Biohacks people sleep on too. Nice collection!

The Satin Snakes came in and I'm really digging them! Different vibe then the Lost and Found's but equally as striking - see the last pic for comparison.
Side note, I just picked up some L&F's for our 7-year-old as well, as they restocked on JD. They're a bit big for him so will wait until March to give as a birthday present...he's loving his 3's and he wants to match me with a pair of J's, so this will be a good surprise. Was also able to pickup the Chicago 2's today on SNKRS, so another win...really getting sucked into the sneaker game bad! |

Great thread, some nice stuff here.
Been a big AJ V fan since their first release. The issue is I don’t like how the V wears these days (personal preference, not the shoe itself). And so I’ve not bought many in recent years, instead opting for AJ 1, 3 or 4 for everyday. Plus, many of these V are unwearable anyway. They are so kid they would just crumble if any weight was put on them. Such are the risks of old shoes !! But imo the V remains the best design. Here’s a few. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Have enjoyed lurking in this thread. Not a sneakerhead (they just don’t suit my style, I have no streetwear game at all), but appreciate them on others. Cool photo, Jay. Among lots of cool photos.

Love this thread. Got these last night for my birthday. I collect a lot of Kobe’s. I’ll have to get a group pic.

For the more experienced and wiser sneakerheads, do you recommend putting some type of sole guard on the more expensive sneakers? For me it's less about preserving the look of the pattern and more about pronation on the heels. I normally have to replace dress shoe heels quite a bit because of this, but well...doesn't seem like that's an option for sneakers.
Recommendations? Or just stay away from high end sneakers and wear dad shoes? (I am not above this second option!) Thanks in advance! |

Unless you're hooping or skating in them, I don't think the heels, collars, etc. should wear down all that much in rotation, unless of course you're wearing the same pair 365. |

This is correct, from my experience. I have many pairs of higher end Kobes and Jordans. All of my shoes get worn. But none daily or even weekly. I avoid dirt and mud the best I can. I havent added any protection to any of them. Just like my watches, my shoes were bought to be worn. |
