Of course you wouldn't need to know the date underwater, however divers constantly log the date and time of their dives. The date is very handy for them especially if they are professional divers who are diving on a daily basis.

Hah. I don't think I've written a check in like 10 years, so I guess I can live without a date. Pretty much all my watches had dates before I got the Sub. Was surprised how quickly I got used to no date. For a while I was using the bezel for the date, but soon realized I don't really need it. I love the clean look of the no-date, and really don't like the cyclops, so it was an easy choice for me in the end. |

And has anyone got a view on the 2 line or 4 line issue when choosing a no-date version?

The no date is just so easy to put on and wear without messing with the date.

There're really no right or wrong. I get good use of of the date so if it's between the two I'll always choose date. But I totally love the look of the 114060. It's just a different look.

Seems like you get something more with the date window. But for 900 dollars really up to the person.

I have a Sub C and the no date is simply beautiful, the seemles simitary is stunning.
To me after seeing the no date version the date and cyclops just completely ruined the design. |

Problem with the GMT (with date) is that which time zone does the date refer to?
