Another 8-5-8 earlier this afternoon.
And then.......... Not a bad smoke. But money spent better on another 8-5-8! The ash is fragile. A smooth cigar with a nice mild woodsy, peppery flavor, but have had much better for the $$.

Just flying out of Miami after a few days of biz.
Smoked a couple Tatuaje and an Aroma de Cuba "EE". Bought a box of 50 of the Tatuaje Verocu #5. Fantastic smokes! Lasted a good hour. http://www.thecigarnut.com/tatuaje-verocu-no-5/ |

The CAO Cameroon Churchill for tonight.
This is a long pleasant smoke and is full flavored. Really nice mixture of flavors on this one.

8-5-8's are some of my favorite cigars! I recently tried an Acid blondie, pretty good for a real quick small smoke. Also if anyone is in the North east and you get the chance look into 7-20-4's they are made by the owner of twins smoke shop. They are real nice, pretty cheap smokes!

Had a smoke-fest with one of my customers in Miami the other night.
First up was a Padron Family Reserve 1945 Maduro Second was a La Flor Dominicana Salomon. One of the best cigars I have had in the last decade bar none. Worth the $35 a stick (and I would never ever catch myself saying that about any cigar) Third (we didn't get to) was an Opus X Double Corona I love this customer - he only smokes premium (good justification for buying) and he has a stash that would make a sultan blush. Those 3 sticks are easily $100 worth of cigars. EDIT - Almost forgot, we put a hurtin' on a bottle of Macallan 10 Cask Strength. |

Strange thing...
My brother and I each smoked Padron 1926 naturals the other day. Both from the same box. He couldn't stop saying how enjoyable it was, but mine was rather bland (for a lack of a better word). Even today he was speaking about it. Don't get me wrong, mine was not harsh, bitter or even bad, but no flavors jumped out at me. Perhaps the alcohol from the tawny port I had masked the cigar? My brother enjoyed it so much he is betting that the Opus Lost City cigars I should be receiving Monday won't be as good as that Padron.
I am really looking forward to trying the Opus. You may recall that in another thread I was asking about the Opus cigars. I'm finally going to give it a shot. Any comments on the Lost City Opus cigars for those who have tried that particular Opus X?

We're living in bizzaro world. I grew up in Cincy and my wife and I became Kentucky hillbillies over 20 years ago. Move just across the River from ya'!. Yes, Blanton's, Woodford's, Pappy VanWinkle [although haven't tried that just yet]. Let me know if you can get together for a fine smoke and tip a glass. dP
