They only go up even before I was born. Great for those of us who had completed our Rolex journey. Bad news for those who is starting!

Was at an AD over the weekend and they were told an increase is coming of 12% on February 1st.

Usually I do not buy into this sort of thing and think it is purely a sales tactic, but in this case I am more inclined to believe them.

I was looking for a SubC and they were out of stock. They told me that their shipments were on hold until the price increase took effect.

They also told me that they could not order one and lock in the old price. If they had been able to do so, then I would've thought it was a ploy to get a quick sale.

We can count on a price increase.

Was at an AD yesterday to purchase my new Sub C - because I expect the prices to go up in Feb again.

Asked the AD about it - I am a good customer and we talk a lot about watches Rolex, Basel expectations etc - but he said he did not know.

The funny thing is the only Sub C he had was reserved. Normally they have plenty watches. It was not a sales trick and I got my regular discount of about 11%. He had to make call to their other locations to source a Sub C for today :)

Most often the amounts being delivered go down shortly before an price increase.
So I think it will be soon based on the above but then again who knows....

Regards, Erik

I've been to two ADs in the Chicago area in the last week. Both said that Rolex is raising their prices Feb. 1 by 13%.

The price increases only increase demand. Any AD will tell you the best time to buy is now

I ordered a TT Daytona last week and put 2K down. My dealer said that since the order was already sent to Rolex and I put a deposit on it, even if the price goes up I am covered...

I also heard about February prices going up at 2 other dealers.

The thing is, in the world of luxury watches, Rolex are not that expensive. Pateks, Jacobs, Jaeger etc etc can be 10 times expensive, some brands are 100 times as expensive as Rolex. If Rolex wants to keep its desirability it has to keep the prices high. It doesn't want to be seen as being at the cheap end of the luxury market - far from it - so they will keep putting prices up to maintain their reputation. Probably 99% of people here bought a Rolex in the first place because of the brand respect, I know I did. So expect a 7% increase every year, as that it what historically they have done.

2011 was a pretty insane year for price hikes--- it got so bad, that you couldn't go to the bathroom in peace ---- Everytime you flushed the toilet, there was a price increase.....

Seems like 40 percent off at jarreds last year was a Rolex Nirvana dream. I have to look at my reciept once in a while to remind me that it did actually happen. 2012 is doom and gloom for sure. Im sure the closer we get to Dec AD's will be telling us to buy before the world ends.

It was absolutely incredible! I have purchased four Rolex watches from the local Jared in the last three months. A family friend worked there as a sales associate and every time they shuffled around the final inventory from other stores, she would call me up and I would be out front at 10 the next morning AMEX in hand.

With Rolex pursuing the boutique model and consolidating their distribution chain, I am quite certain it will never happen again.

I did order my SS Daytona last week. I did talk a lot with the owner of my local AD but he did not mention any price increase on Rolex... plus he showed me the price list, that is as big as a book, and it refers to years 2011 and 2012. Maybe the prices will increase next year... maybe...
