Them's fightin' words, Gary. Just kidding, though. For me, the simplicity of the Air King a pleasing quality.
I find it hard to say which one I don't care for. Just a year ago I would have told you that anything with diamonds or gold was just too gaudy. Now I love gold and diamonds. And I think the gold president is the bees knees. As my style keeps changing, I no doubt will fall in love with some other Rolex that I would never have considered in the past. |

I love the milgauss with the black dial and green trim.. Would love to own one! Thinking about giving my girlfriend my datejust, as she wants an oversized (shes tiny so seems oversized) rolex and buying a milgauss as a reward to me for my kindness!! haha
The only rolex's i would never buy would be the explorer (as i said before), the air king and the cellini.. Love all other models! (Not including some of the bizarre variations such as the ever repulsive leopard daytona!) |

Air King, Cellini, Explorer I and Milgauss are my least favorite Rolex watches. I can see how OP can enjoy them but personally would not acquire for my collection.
The beauty about Rolex's variations is that there usually in one that fits someone due to our different taste..........isn't that what is cool, that we can share our love for Rolex in many different ways?! |

I'm quite surprised, after reading 4 pages of this painful thread (to me all Rolex timepieces are special in their own right ) not one of you have mentioned the Auntie Andelain aka the Turn-O-Graph. This piece has done so poorly at AD's that Rolex decided to halt production of this Datejust all together... Still one of my personal favorites and the Japan green hand exclusive is SUPREME! Oh well...

I don't hate any Rolex, but when it comes to my least favorite ones, then I'd say it's the DSSD and YM II. But it's mostly because I simply cannot wear such a large watch due to my skinny wrist

Zebra Stripe Dial DateJust (116189)
Small size of the Air King (but I like the Air-King otherwise) I dislike the excess writing on the dial of the DSSD Other than that I like all the models |

Pointless thread. I don't like YOURwatch. I thought the rules of this forum were of a general positive view towards our collective selections. See ya!

That's a beautiful watch, and you're not kidding about the green-handed Japanese special. You just don't know how bad I want one.

Got back a couple of days ago from vacation where I wore my Sub C 24 hrs. a day and loved it. Since I've been back I put the Air King on and can't take it off. Different times and different places for different Rolexes.

I know I am going to get slammed for this, but I don't like any of the two toned bezels like the: Pepsi, Coke, Root Beer, etc. on the GMT. I only like the black one.

The absolute least favorites for me would be all the beautiful Rolex watches that I cannot afford at any given moment

-Anything with diamonds for a man
- Milgaus because of the lightning bolt. - DSSD because of that ring that says gas escape valve. I don't see the point in it and if it wasn't there the dial would look more in scale with the rest of the watch. -YM because it looks too much like a sub and mixing platinum and SS seems silly to me. I don't get why people are saying this thread is wrong etc. Rolex is a company which makes it a group of people and people are not infallible. There is nothing wrong with not liking a Rolex. For example I don't like anything under 40mm because it looks like I'm wearing a ladies watch. Doesn't mean I don't appreciate them. A watch comes from a design. Your watch started of as a sketch on a piece of paper and like all art it is open to perspective. I'm not a fan of a lot of Monet's work but that doesn't mean I don't think he was a great artist. Same goes for Rolex. I love the brand and their general production of solid watches that last a lifetime. Doesn't mean I have to like all their designs though. |
