Of course I do. They are, in general, pretty sturdy and water resistant.

I can't swim so I guess although I do faff around in the pool now and again, the answer is "no''.

Once and for all, can someone please go scuba diving with their Datejust and maybe we can post the pics as a sticky and put these threads to bed.

My Rolex will swim further and deeper than I can ever dive.

No, we need to see a DJ with a wetsuit, a bunch of coral and maybe a moray eel.

I'm afraid it was not too good after the dive - the crown is unscrewed. On purpose? Wonder if the seal kept water out.

I don't know. I lifted the pic link from the photo section. Apparently the OP said it was fine.

Are you crazy? I leave all stickers on my watch and only wear it while at home. When I leave home, the watch is put back into its box and stored safely.

If I can go to the lavatory with mine on then it's fairly safe to say you can swim with it on.
I currently have some toilet troubles that I'd prefer not to have to elaborate on.

I have used my Sub as my dive watch for the past 20 years and it has never failed me. I give it a good rinse after the dive and it is good to go.

To answer the question of the OP: NO. Of course, it's ridiculous-makes no sense- but no. I wear a Seiko 5 Sports to the pool and the beach.

But I have decided to just go witg it and have no probs. the only annoyance I have is that I have a dssd 116660 and it's hard to do laps in., but my gmt does just fine.

How bout you guys... Any thoughts
Almost exclusively wear my rolex in the pool. I take it off for the hot tub though. I've heard different schools on whether it is safe, but something about the heat and steam makes me think it will break the gasket.

My biggest fear, as you mentioned, it putting my arm up on the edge of the pool, and scraping my watch. so I just, dont do that.

Yes, of course, I swim with all my watches - especially Rolex. Swimming in a pool, lounging in a water bar, hot tub and the like - I'm with a Rolex!

In the ocean however, I will either wear a G-Shock or my Sub (no date) on a NATO for fear of a springbar or bracelet screw failing/coming out.

I know it's rare and, yes, I have used Loctite when I have removed screws for sizing but always felt as though that was the weak link.
