I own a FF Sport and a ceramic Sub. I would make that trade in a literal heartbeat.

Size wise it fits my 6.5" wrist surprisingly well IMO.

I wouldn't do the trade, but the FF is a beautiful piece in it's own right. Would love to own one.

Keep your sub and save for the FF. it will be available when you are ready.

sub copy? lol. my brother, this is a place of learning. it happens.

but the FF is in no way shape or form a sub copy. the FF has an incredible history and is an amazing iconic watch. IMHO i would much prefer the FF.

that said, i do get confused as to why they put it on the strap. AND, i like the strap much better. BUT, but they should at least put it on a waterproof strap.

It comes on a strap or ss bracelet. The sailcloth strap is waterproof.

It rises high, like a French "toque" (or so it always seemed to me).

I'm not an expert on Blancpain FF... but I would say no.

Looking forward to our talk

I'm not sure how this trade is going down but my search for a FF here in the UK lead to me finding two. The best being a two year old model that is selling for £8,500. The retail is £10,300 so that is not a big loss over two years.

Now considering the LV can be found BNIB for £5,500, if it is a straight swap then it should be done for value reasons alone. It's none of our business the details of the trade but the prices I'm finding online tell me the FF holds its value quite well and if the person is offering a straight swap or not much cash you should do it without hesitation.

I'm rather late to the party, so all the points have been addressed (including the usual errors/hearsay). I will point out that the watch in the OP's photo is in fact a prototype - note the date at '3' and the slightly smaller crown

Here are a couple of threads that may be of interest: Watchtime's review of the current model, shortly after it was released, and a wonderful thread from PuristSPro telling the story of a vintage military watch (one of several such threads I have enjoyed)
