Leave the watch elsewhere and use the steam room / sauna w/o any jewelry - rings, chains, bracelets, watches, belly button rings :) :)
When we were in Karesuando I wore my sub and my signet ring in the sauna, the Long-Haired General wore a Maurice Lecroix, a gold ring, a diamond ring and a gold belly button ring and we're just fine and dandy!

so folks, please settle down. it is just a watch forum.
Exactly...

I've already had to ban one user who decided to push it too far in this thread and via PM.

To each their own.

I'm not interested in taking metal into a room where temps exceed 115 degrees for a steam room or over 150 for a sauna.

Some saunas even go as high a 190 - what's the point of taking a watch in those conditions?

Zero in my book - but it's a free world! :) (mostly)

The guy has been given a 2 week ban too cool off.

His behaviour added to the inappropriateness of his username (which will be changed) are not welcome here.

Not sure what's going on today - but there has been some serious clearing up to do.

I think it's obvious what has happened here, sarcasm in the replies to the OP questions, gets out of hand then the childish retorts ensue, I know this because I once before have fallen into this trap...

There's a difference between childish behaviour and openly making sexual and insulting comments towards a members wife. That's what's resulted in a ban.

Others chose a username which is just way out of line and then decide to make consistent antagonistic comments.

This is not obvious behaviour in my book.

I think this thread needs to disappear into the graveyard.
