Very nicely done; an Explorer just for you!
I often wonder (fantasize) about Rolex offering semi-customs, not unlike some boat manufacturers, using parts bin options to create semi-custom creations of the purchaser's choosing. Auto manufacturers, particularly in the light truck segment, offer "Build and Price" or "Design and Build" on their websites. If it can be done with boats and pick-up trucks, certainly it could be done with Rolex watches.

The Explorers 1 and 2 are my favourite watches in the current Rolex range, your mods look brilliant, I like the term "sea explorer" very appropiate, well done and enjoy.

I love it.
This is exactly what the Explorer II should look like.

The thread was resurrected almost two years to the date of its inception. The orange had is interesting but I'm fond of my more subtle red hand and like the Cyclops on this watch in particular.

Really cool mode to your watch OP!
it has the orange touch and classic style this way I am also bumping this thread as I just found a listing on chrono24 offering for sale a 16570 with an orange gmt hand from a 216570, so it can be done Needless to say that I just bought a set of hands from a 216570 just after that and the orange hand is going to finish on my incoming 16570 |

Now we're talking!
Ok, I just found my next project....who's going to be the first one to get the white dial version of the 216570 orange hand and have it installed on a polar 16570?.... |
