nice, I was going to suggest, it's possible to buy a SS daytona and mod it with the WG dial, but you'd have to be willing to go down that modding path.

glad one finally caught your eye. I couldn't find one that really sang out to me first, but sometimes it takes a little while to grow on you, and definitely need to see them in person.

I know right!

I hadn't really tried out the green Sub for a very long time, I did when it come out few years ago but didn't really like it then, though it was too green and too weird. So I didn't think about it anymore. But then I decided to give it another try because I was anyway kinda lost in my "quest" to choose a Rolex. And when I put it on, I don't know, something felt right but I wasn't yet convinced. The owner of the Michelsen in Reykjavík (the Rolex AD) owns himself a green Sub and since I'm a good friend of his son, he loaned me his watch for a couple of days. And yeah, I could feel after wearing it for some time that this was the watch for me.

Happy birthday! I'm 15 years ahead of you and just got mine. My dad did however give me watches through the years, but none as nice as the ones your looking at. It doesn't matter...you'll cherish whatever they give you. Wear it in good health youngster.

It's good that you picked such an unique watch to mark your milestone and your parent's present.

Get a white gold sub. More wrist presence than the daytona, great feel, around 25k used. Post a pic of whatever you choose. The daytona is very very nice, especially in a precious metal, but just doesn't have the same presence as the sub imo. Enjoy the gift, nothing wrong with your parents wanting to treat you.
