My wife has come a long way, from not really caring about watches (a $10 Walmart piece is fine!) to now being able to hold an intelligent conversation using words like "dial", "bezel", "movement", "markers", "case", "crown", "crystal" (or "acrylic") correctly. Yep, I'm pretty proud of that actually!

She's even open to me getting her either a ladies DJ or a Cartier Ballon Bleu 33mm. This, from a woman who doesn't use a purse and can count on one hand how many pairs of shoes she owns.

Like I said, she's come a long way

My wife barely notices me let alone the watch I'm wearing. It's perfect.

I show the watches I buy to my girlfriend when I get them. She's not into watches at all but she compliments me when she likes them. Obviously if she's not into spending a lot of money on such things so sometimes she has a hard time understanding my passion but given that it's also my field of study she gets the idea that I love collecting them.

Mine notices, both from a bank account standpoint and from a jealousy standpoint. Got her a Root Beer to cure her wandering eye. She even wears my Black Bay from time to time

My dad actually gave me a great quote the other day

"When I die, I hope my wife doesn't sell my watches for what I told her I paid for them"

The two of you are a match made in heaven. There's nothing like an understanding and supportive partner and this goes both ways.

I think as long as we can afford it, my wife is ok with purchases. Although, after this last one, I think it may be a long while before I bring home another... Overall she has come a long way, and become more interested in watches. I just gave her a nice B & M for anniversary / Christmas, and she absolutely loves it. The one thing she does complain about is my watch box on the dresser... but, they need a comfy home... right?

Mine only notices when a new one is on my wrist. It could be a Sub or SD that is identical to ones I already own but she picks up on it instantly. "Baaabe, when did you get that watch"? She has a spidey sense for new watches, whisky or guns showing up in the house.

Amen, altho a "she" for me....Ex-wife, ex-GFs, current interest have no problem with my watch collection, or for that matter guns and cars. I've been lucky that way and I intend not to break the pattern :D

LOL - love this. You're really screwed when she starts saying, "that's 2 or 3 Birkins or Kelly bags"

My wife just said: Wow, that's gorgeous! The next week, a booking confirmation for our entire family came in through email, for an Alaskan Cruise. Apparently, we need to travel first class in a "Neptune" suite with an adjoining "entourage" room for the children.
