Jealous brother. I got to try one on last month. It left an itch that I'll never be able to scratch.

Huge congrats Tom.

I'm happy for you and your enthusiasm for your new watch really shines through.

Will you be wearing it under your race suit? (With that weight on your wrist, you might find yourself veering left! )

Daytona will be winner, that blue is hypnotic :)

Other than vintage SS Daytonas, this is the only Daytona I would own.

Congratulations, Tom!
I know that you have had your eye on this one for quite a while...I am glad to see it will finally become a reality:)

I also think you have finally found a watch that will steal serious wrist time from that amazing YG YMII.

Wear it in good health!

I thought the watch was amazing when I first saw it and it still is amazing! Would one day love to own one, however I do not think that will be a reality anytime soon. Congrats to all that do have one and wear it in good health my friends!

I'm sorry that your amazing RG Daytona had to go but you replaced it with a real masterpiece so I'm sure you'll be fine. I just can't understand how the heck you will manage to wait until the end of the month to get your watch. I simply would not be able to sleep at all without some illegal help.
Huge congrats and looking forward to seeing your incoming thread.

Congrats! You knew what you wanted and you made it happen, that's what being a WIS is all about. As for value, the value of something is only based on what someone else is willing to pay. Rolex set the price, and I know for sure that if I had the dough, I'd be right there with you on the Platona bandwagon. Wear in good health, doc!

The 3/4 pounder... It is funny how in some things like cycling we are obsessed about the lightest parts, but here is the reverse.

Nice to have overa half a pound on your wrist.

Advance congratulations Tom! Looks very stunning on your wrist. Be sure to post some racing suit shots! Pictures cannot accurately capture this watch until you see one in person and whatever you do, don't let the sunlight hit it!!!

They make a great duo Mike! YMII a great weekend watch and the Platona a great weekday watch!

No way... 250 really? I'd buy one if that's the case...

Maybe 100-125.

Still a fantastic piece worthy of gallons of drool.
