I can't answer you question.

However, I can say that I like breitling very much.

The level of finishing and quality are different. Try turning a bezel of a subc and one on the breitling. It's a very different feel.

I still don't see where padi is agreeing with you on this post?
All I see is you saying the same thing about how YOU know why there is such a price difference, yet you fail to tell anyone what YOUR opinions are on the subject.

you simply quote people and say either how much you agree and how foolish it is to think marketing plays into it.

reread entire thread. my view was cut and paste off the breitling forums.

Padi agrees with me. he simply felt no need to elaborate because its so obvious.

marketing plays into everything but for one to insinuate that the breitling superocean and rolex sub c are on par with each other and marketing is the only reason for difference in price is simply ignorant

maybe so. but my point was made. there are many reasons other than marketing why a Rolex sub-c commands more $$ than a Breitling superocean

so what your saying is its LUDICROUS to compare Rolex and Breitling?

is that what your saying?

i agree with you. there is NO comparison between a sub-c and a superocean

rolex is next level. period.

actually this topic was enlightening.

this thread PROVED that many actually believe its all 'marketing' and NOT build quality, materials, movement etc.

makes me sad

Bingo.....How did it really get this far without this simple truth to luxury items worth.

Marketing

and what the market will bear.
