I prefer the black but I already have a black dial ROLEX, my GMT II. When the time for decision comes I'll have to give it a good thought. So, I'm still unsure....

Haha I am Chinese too. I have 'Bak Joe' all my life wearing black dial Rolex.
Luck changed when I got 'Bak' Daytona. Or maybe 'death' to bad luck? Haha we Chinese are too superstitious Hey, Lunar New Year coming soon, have you rearranged the furniture according to fung shui? It's better to worry about how to finance your next Rolex White Daytona is so crisp and sharp. Too many black Daytona in Hong Kong, in slums Mong Kok and Sham Shui Po even. Saturated, like Subdate 16610. That said, it is best to buy BOTH |

White for me
I had an Explorer II (white dial) & a GMT master II (black dial). I decided to trade in the Explorer II ($3K) toward my Grail - 116519 with MOP dial on a brown croc strap ......

I think for SS the black dial looks better, whereas for TT the white dial looks better. Then again, I'd be happy with any combination!

Both are great looking watches but I think white face is more classic. I own a SS Daytona White and couldn't be happier. Enjoy sir

It depends if you have others in your collection. Almost all other Rolex sports models come in black dial so if you plan on having a Daytona +1 then get white. If the Daytona is your only Rolex, get black for sure.
I purchased my Daytona first, so I didn't have a black Rolex prior... But for sure now I would have taken white to compliment my GMT2 and Millie. You see what I mean? |

With huge respect for your culture and language...I would guess that the majority of us do not understand or speak Chinese....
I dont know if you are doing it without thinking or something... Best to stick to English, then we can all understand.. And I mean that all in the most respectful way possible :) |

I agree, matter of taste. My European friends say the black dial is more popular there... and it seems like the white is more popular here... but, heck, either one is gorgeous.
I think the black dial with the later model "fat hands" is quite readable. Just my humble opinion. Nathaniel in Oceanside... |

Best to get them all.
Prefer 116520 in black and 16520 in white. They are all perfect and so cool.

Definitly black dial, the white dials in generally dont really do it for me. The black dial daytona on the other hand, to me, is really stunning.
