The 249 & 448 are the only [SS] Calis w/plexi iirc and fwiw, I'm not a big fan of ecru superluminova so the 249 is still "the one"in my book

Well, this is a Rolex Forum to begin with. I'm thinking that if there's any non-Rolex activity at all then that's pretty good.

This thread has generated a good number of responses, so I'd say that the P. interest is alive and well here. Maybe it's friendlier here than on, say, P.com?

After trying to get a new 390, 382 or 507 without success - I think I'm just going to stick with my 111.

I don't love it any less but my desire to add another PAM to the fold is pretty much extinguished.

Having said all of this, if there is one Panerai I wouldn't mind having back it is the 372

Same here - it would be new, not back for me.

I really liked it, I happened to get one of the very first one, and someone offered me $1,000 more for it a couple of days after, so I took the deal. Good move, as it turns out, as the value of the 372 has fallen with about 30% since then. Now is a good time to pick one up.

I have been back and forth with Panerai from the beginning

First loving, then hating. Now I've settled with one zero in my collection and I love it.

Bought a GMT and soon went off it for several reasons. Then it was stolen and all I could think of was 'thank goodness it wasn't one of my rolex'. I guess that said it all for me.
I noticed they have closed some of their Panerai stores on my travels . This probably suggests falling sales.

Sold mine off. The watch was just too large to keep under the cuff and the size generally drew the wrong type of attention from my clients and other folks who could have questioned my hourly rate. Would I own one in the future? Only if my life depends on it.
