Beyond the watch, consider whether you want to be "this guy" or "that guy". Like it or not, at least for a limited period of time a person's mental outlook is impacted after purchase of a Grail watch when one oogles at it hour after hour for months and months.

I would begin listening to EDM after buying one and harpsichord after buying the other.

Please let me know what you guys think? Any advice is welcome

I hope all have wonderful weekend.

After reading the first part of your post, my question to you is "does this question really require an answer?"

You've been saving for years for your grail. There really is nothing else to say, now go get that DD!

i can't decide

love the DD40

love the feeling of a fine PP on a strap

i can't decide

you could of course buy preowned and with the leftover cash be well on your way to saving for the 2nd piece :)

ps
most important, have you had the opportunity to put each of them on your wrist???

Get your Grail. It is a watch that can be worn in any day to day environment. I wear mine with jeans or shorts as well as a suit.

The bottom line is that if you don't get what YOU want you will always regret it. Go with what you want and don't look back!

Thank you all my friends. You all help me make decision.

My holy grail watch was the Day Date II with chocolate dial. I'm so lucky because of the new DD40 just release this year.

The reason why my wife and few of my friends know the PP 5205R because one of my friends have this watch. They think it looks better than the Day Date Rose Gold.

I just make an appointment with AD this afternoon to get the DD40.

Thank all again,

Have a wonderful Sunday.

I like the DD40 much better and I think rose gold is actually beautiful in person and not flashy at all

You made the right choice. I believe this is what you wanted and perhaps felt a little apprehensive when faced with the prospect of parting with that much cash that took a long time to save. There's always that last moment pause for consideration. Look forward to the pics. A dynamite watch.

As already said

DD 40 is your grail watch

Whilst I like the patek, they are 2 very different watches & the patek isn't a daily wearer. I would go DD.

Wow, congratulations!!! Who is your AD out of curiosity. I've found Peabody Longs extremely nice to work with though I haven't bought a watch from them. Can't wait to see the photos!!!

If your eyes have suddenly been opened to other possibilities I would spend a day or two looking at and handling what's available within your sanctioned budget. You may find your eyes have been opened to something you never knew existed. And just as equally at the end of this voyage of discovery you may come back to where you started. The advantage is you will not be second guessing yourself as you move forward. You will be able to say definitely "I bought this watch because after trying all the others it was the best watch for me."

No black dial RG Sam. I saw them all at DD40 event and there are some amazing variations all being super nice. For RG though chocolate hard to beat!
