Daytona here we come!

I suggest you dont get rid of them, I did that and regretted it almost instantly, time passed and wound up replacing it. Just give it time before you get rid of a proven clasic is what I say!

That is one awesome trio by the way!

My SS White dialed Daytona is my favorite work watch as it looks sporty and it doesn't scream Rolex. It should complement your collection nicely.

Why?? The Daytona is my favourite watch and I have owned several SS but I really wanted my WG Grail Daytona with panda dial. I saved for it (so did what I had to do to get it), and I did indeed purchase it.

Meant that, loving the Daytona but not being able to afford one without selling some other pieces, this kind of mentality pushes me closer to another multiple flip! 😂

Thank you all for the advice. I'm searching for a new one now but unfortunately I can't find any!
I managed to sell my black sub. And replaced it with a Hulk, which was also hard to find.

I had to travel to Geneva to buy it. Soon will be getting a whote dial daytona to complete my collection

To Daytona, or not to Daytona

For those of you that had purchased and flipped Daytonas, what have been the rationale behind the flip? Have seen comments like got bored of it, but wonder if there are other reasons like lack of black bezel like on vintage ones (too flashy polished bezel) or higher cost of ownership (been told servicing us over $1,000), too small, etc.

I dont really like the GMT as a daily watch because its a bit bling with the PCLs and such. Some would also say that every collection should have a sub. Personally I would save and "add a daytona" and "swap to hulk from black sub". Or just swap to the green sub!

I'm also curious to know.. if i ever get of a Daytona, i'd simply either change the dial or fit it on a leather or rubber strap

Slate dials look nice. How is readability on low light conditions? Have read people saying the grey dial makes it hard to see time.
