Ok guys got it all back!
Reason is that even though paypal could not get the money back for me because I made 2 payments for the same item, My CC company could request a chargeback from paypal which paypal agreed to and I got it all back. I did not know this and paypal does not supply this info anywhere for whatever reason.
My advice to all of you, open as many cases as you can with everyone involved regardless of whether you think it will work or not, you just never know what can happen and this way you cover yourself as much as you can.
This is what I did, and ended up not loosing.
Thanks to all for your support and kind words and concern, it was much appreciated!!

Another thing id like to add, always pay by paypal IF it is a stranger with no references anywhere, and not as a gift but with an invoice from the seller describing the item in full.
ALWAYS pay full amount in one payment and Always use a credit card.
This way you cover yourself from all sides if something goes wrong.

NO, what you should add is NOT to deal with strangers that have no references anywhere in the first place. PERIOD!!!

I guess i mean situations like mine on kijiji, where it seems legit like I thought
But yes, in general, dont bother not worth the hassle.
This is an odd case, and a veteran like me knew what to do, so just letting those that find similar ads for watches and take the risk regardless of what others advise (which happens all too frequently as we know here) to at least go about it the smartest way to protect themselves.

Be safe out there boys!!

Hmmm
I wonder as well, the OP's title is very offensive to me as a Canadian: I will protest with my wallet, I will not buy from OP or sell to him until he modifies the title

Andy, so glad to hear you finally were made whole. It really sucks that you had to go through all of this, but I suppose the silver lining is we all learned a something.

Thanks for sharing

Just because the OP resides in Canada, it doesn't make the OP"s wording any less offensive to some Canadians.

The global economy is going to crappola.

Now is NOT the time to being Rolexes from strangers online. Bad times bring out bad people.

You appear not to be Canadian, if that's the case, then in my opinion your view on the matter is totally irrelevant.

I'm sure not all 4k plus viewers of this thread determined where the OP resides. Personally I don't care, it's offensive and promotes ill will.

Good deal! Glad it worked out. I'm sure was very stressful. I'm to the point will only buy from people with multiple recent references and that's still somewhat risky; although, the odds are much more in my favor this way.

Don't worry about the negative comments. There are scumbags in the states as well and most reasonable people understood what your meaning was intended to infer.

Your thread title is of course not 'racist', but this post kind of is: http://www.rolexforums.com/showthrea...87#post6459687

I've noticed a few of these types of post from you in the past.

Surprising to see this post, referencing a totally unrelated thread.

It's not a totally unrelated post. It was made today by the OP in this section, and was pointed out in reference to this thread, as there is a topical connection.
