I have been a flipper thus far because adding Rolexes is a little unrealistic for me right now. I believe I've found the perfect Rolex for the time being (42mm Explorer 2).

Having two young children and college funds to invest in, I think I'll take a break for a while. But eventually I will add a 36mm Date-Just. I'd also like to get one for my son and daughter one day after a significant achievement and at the proper age to appreciate it.

1 Rolex out of 3 watches total. If I bought another watch, I'm not sure it would be a Rolex. Probably something else to add some diversity to the collection.

I could buy more, but what's the point.

Same for me. Own two.

But will add a WG DD40 down the road.

I love to wear my watches 24/7 so DD will be my week watch, my 16710 M my travel watch and my SDc my weekend / holiday do everything watch.

It took me a lifetime to acquire the one that I own (Explorer 214270) which I'm perfectly satisfied with. I'd like a Black Bay Black to have a diver and maybe someday a 38-40mm Datejust.
But if I never own another Rolex I'll have no regrets.

I have just one Rolex and to me it's plenty enough. I don't wear it often, far less than other pieces.

When I bought my first one 15 years ago, I told my wife this is stupid $ for a watch and that will be the one and only. (Still have it though. I have kept all of mine so far.)

Boy, do I have to eat my words.

Now, I am buying and putting kids name on the warranty. And just started "lending" some out to family.

Car? That's stupid $. Rolex, not as bad.

TRF is like a crack house for an addict, not helping.....

I wish I could own just one. I can't even wear just one watch per 24 hour cycle! In all truthfulness, I like different Rolexes / watches for different situations.

I keep on thinking about it but don't think that trading in 3 stainless models for one pm is wise. I guess I'll keep saving so I don't need to trade in.

I only own one at the moment, which I am very happy with.
However, I can see all too easily how the bug can bite!

Just one, a GMT II, which is in fact two ! Because sometime I have the all black bezel on and then I change it and put the Coke one... so it's two different watches !

Its not easy but it can be done.

The collection for now is a 5711, Speedmaster, the Sub, Portuguese and a reverso
That sounds like a perfect collection! A watch for all seasons!

interesting concept...kind of like alternating NATO watchstraps but more expensive in terms of initial outlay.

being that the average person wouldn't notice the different colored arrows, one could re-create the general appearance of all or most of the existing GMTs by simply alternating the respective bezels...thus eliminating the need to own multiples of the same model. Rolex ADs ought to offer an optional 'variety pack' of various colored bezels for GMT owners/customers. better yet, include one with each new purchase.

I only own one, a 216570 Explorer II Polar. My other watch is a Speedmaster Professional, but after wearing the 216570 for the last 2 months straight, I've virtually abandoned my Speedy. I'd like to add a Sub C, no date or a Datejust 42 to switch it up and to cover for service times. When I sell one of my businesses in the next couple of years, I will probably pick up two watches, a second Rolex for me, and a first Rolex for my wife. For now, I enjoy learning about, and growing my appreciation for watches

I only have owned one Rolex at a time, but I am considering buying a datejust to add.
